world largest golf tee

Signs on the Interstate alerted us to this interesting attraction. My huaband is a golfer so we HAD to see this. Once in town, excellent signs directed us to the 'world's largest' wind chimes, crochet hook and knitting needles, future site for the largest rocking chair, and the golf tee, which is located at the country club.Don't miss the other attractions. This was lots of fun and takes 1/2 tops to view all of them.

Maybe if the club had still been open it would have been worth the trip. It was not well marked at all (we drove by twice before we found it). Perhaps another sign or two would help.

Our day started with Hamburgers at the Moonshine Store south of Casey. Then visits to the wind chimes and the largest golf tee in Casey.

We went to IL to visit a friend and on the way up there on I- 70 West were signs posted about the world's largest tee--- so on the way back we decided to stop and check it out!! It was really interesting to see !! I would think golfers would really like to see this--I did and I have never golfed ever! Also there is the largest wind chime here as well as knitting needles! Next year they are going to have the largest rocking chair where the seat is as big as a 2 car garage! Even better to go here!

A nice quick roadside stop off I-70 between Indianapolis and St. Louis. Also go see the World's Largest Wind Chime in downtown Casey.

We were on a trip from Arizona to the East Coast when we saw billboards advertising the World's Largest Windchime and Golf Tee.....We neeedd a break from the flat roadway of I-70 so we took it in Casey, IL....A .town that boasts the World's Largest Wind Chime, Golf Tee, Knitting Needles and soon...the World's Largest Rocking Chair. The Brain Child of a local business man who wanted to put this lovely little town "on the map"! We followed directions which are very easy and found the amazing wind chime which was next to a lovely landscaped garden area and an eatery which was also charming. Across the street workers were busy working on the soon to come World's Largest Rocking Chair....Rocker Runners in place when we were there. The knitting needles are in the local yarn shop and we looked in the window. The golf tee is located at a lovely local Casey Country Club. We enjoyed the view of the tee and the well groomed fairways as well as had a nice chat with the pro on duty.....We have some brothers who are making it a habit to play as many golf courses as they can so we purchased postcards of the tee to send to them......What a nice diversion in the flat lands of Illinois and something to tell others about after our trip. Good going Casey and the man behind the World's Largest!!!!

We went to the Country Club to hunt down the Golf Tee since we had already stopped to see the "World's Largest Wind Chime"...I mean, it's a big wooden tee...it wasn't that exciting, but funny, yes. You have to go through the golf pro shop to get to the tee, no one was even inside the pro shop so we just walked through, saw the tee, and left. Something funny and free to see.

Just off of I-70 in Casey, Illinois (just one exit into and out of Casey-exit 129 on I-70 west), you will find the World’s Largest Windchime on Main Street. You’ll see small white signs about not missing the World’s Largest Windchime and Golf Tee as you approach the exit. A small café with restrooms is next to the chimes. You can ring the chimes. The sound is more melancholy than light and cheerful. Not something I expected. May have been my mood that day. Right across the street, Casey is building the World’s Largest Rocking Chair. The rocker bottoms are built and in place. There’s one problem. Just a few weeks ago, I saw the CURRENT World’s Largest Rocking Chair in Cuba, Missouri. What else can you turn rocker bottoms into? The World’s Largest Cradle? Casey is into having the World’s Largest Assortment of the World’s Largest. Since I was already there, I drove a little further to the country club to see the World’s Largest Golf Tee. When in Rome. The World’s Largest Knitting Needles and Crochet Hook are also close by. Casey is planning on adding the World’s Largest Mailbox, Pitchfork and Shoe to this odd assortment. Casey better goggle those first.

You have to actually go into the golf pro shop to be able to get onto the green where the tee is. Since we were pressed for time, and didn't want to have to talk to anyone, we just peeked at the tee from outside the greens area. I wasn't that impressed. Go see the wind chime instead.

Casey Country Club is home to Worlds Largest Golf Tee. It's a short drive from I70 and a must see for any golfer! Beautiful course and friendly people! I nice little 30 minute stop that takes you back to roadside attractions from years gone by..Enjoy!!
