Great location great family outing.. The announcers make this even better, with all their excitement. With the breaks between events, it gives you time to hit the refreshment stands.. Fun for all ages..

Whatta a nice night out!! We went there for the demolition Derby. Just fun watching the announcers were fun too. Was really nice that they had breaks between event so we could get grab drinks and snacks and not miss anything. And the view from the top of the stands is awesome.. Makes you want to put together a beater and join the fun.

We are Season Pass holders for the Demolition Derbies & wouldn't have it any other way. It's a family outing 3 generations & counting. Monster trucks thrilled everyone & marked our 3 year old Grandson's 1st Monster Truck Rally. He loved every moment of this outing. Recommend for almost any age, u might want the bring ear protection for the little ones. IT'S LOUD

I did not see a race here, I was in Joliet for a day for genealogy and decided to stop her for photography. The track makes for good photography and has a great location right across the street from the Chicagoland Speedway.

love the facilities here, the staff is extraordinary and it's great to get in and out of (a welcome change). nothing like watching drag racing at a modern facility that's fan friendly!

This is a horseshoe type of facility. Loud, smoky and hot. Perfect if you are a fan of drag racing. Bathrooms are good. Concessions are average. People are nice. A lot of vendors in the stands selling beer and water. No food. Bought my tickets ahead of time and paid $25 more for tailgate parking just so I would be closer to the track. I was told to pick up my tickets and parking pass at the will call facility. Not correct. Need to pick up parking pass and tickets at the appropriate parking lot gate. Gates are numbered but not marked which reserved parking lot they are. I had to ask a couple of different track info people to get the correct information. A lot of people were turned around at the gate to reenter the track. Hands were stamped but no tickets. You need your tickets also to come back in. This was not communicated well verbally or via signs. A lot of people were not happy to make the long walk back to their vehicles to get their tickets. If you have little ones pay the extra for the closer parking. They have a few people in golf carts shuttling back and forth but not enough. For watching the racing this one of the top five that I have been to. Close in the pits. Close in the stands. Hang out by the side of the track. Total experience for drag racing is tops. One other note only one sealed bottle of water is allowed per person to be brought in.

Went to Rt 66 this past sat,for burndown at sundown, Parking was great got lucky on our spot. it was neat to walk thru the pits to the grandstand. Had great seats. The only downside was the bathrooms need attention andt the concessions are high. 4 dollars for a bottle of water

I have been going to Route 66 for several years as my brother is a driver for Team Demolition Derby... what I love the most is real bathrooms, with real sinks to wash hands. Ladies, the line gets LONG in between rounds so plan accordingly. They do a good job at keeping the facility clean. Parking is free. They do allow one bottle of water per person as long as the seal is intact. If you have never gone to Team Demolition Derby, recommend getting there early and saving seats... don't expect to walk in right before the race starts and find seats for your entire family in one spot. Also, if you are saving seats and walk away, don't be surprised if someone moves your blankets over and sits down, have one person in the group stay and watch the area... Just a suggestion.

I may be a homer, but this is my favorite track. It's a record setting track. It however is just a race track. There isn't much else around here, so it's only for race fans. If you're not used to being outside, possibly in the hot sun, and don't enjoy racing, this probably isn't for you. I love racing though and will be back here as long as there's an NHRA race going on.

Lots of fun, you can tailgate before the races. Sad thing is Demo Derby is only the last Saturday of each month. Last race is in September. Lots of action seeing the cars smash into each other.

HWY 53 from Bolingbrook provided a slower commute to the racetrack rather than taking the interstate.

We go every year to see the drag races but last year was just a major disappointment when it comes to interactions with staff and not being able to bring in sunscreen, water, or even the spritzer fans my family bought right at the entrance. Nothing like spending $40 at the entrance on fans only to be told turn around and take the to ur vehicle or throw them out, then being told no sunscreen can be brought in. I wanted some sun before putting the stuff on. Unnecessary rules damper what would be a great time

We usually make an annual trip the Speedway to watch the NHRA top fuel races. I have not been there for the NASCAR race, so I'm commenting solely on the strip facility. Getting to the track is easy as is the parking. We usually head up early and tailgate with tent, grill, and coolers. It's a great time. As for the facility itself, it is easy to get around. All the seats are pretty good in my opinion and you can also go trackside and get close to the action. Bring some sunscreen though! No shade and it get's toasty!

We have been going out to the Team Demolition Derby for a couple of years now. We've learned a few things: 1--get tickets online ahead of time. You'll save money and the events are often sold out, so you drive all the way out there and no dice. 2--pack a tailgate dinner. Even a stop at Subway and a 2L of Coke make a great dinner before you go in and get the pizza, nachos, etc. 3--get there early enough to enjoy the Pit Party and people watching. There are jumpy houses for the kids and you can get an up close to the cars to see how they are modified. There are only a few Team Demos each summer, so get ready for next year! Woo hoo!

There is not a bad seat : easy to manuvuer around: staff is friendly: Large area and parking lot: get ready to do some walking when going to a national event
