Played on February 26, 2015, we played both tracts, preferred the Rolling Oaks Course, but both were outstanding. Conditions were excellent for this time of year. Greens were undulating and fun to read. We didn't have time to utilize the practice facilities (except the driving range), but having a 3 hole practice course (par 3, 4 & 5) is an unbelievable amenity to have. The putting course looked fun. If ever making a golf trip again to the Tampa area this facility is not to be missed.

One of the largest practice greens areas I have ever seen. Also good practice driving range. Busy as we played on a Sunday but well layed out and never felt pushed or rushed. Starter was accomaditing and beverage cart was around several times. We played the Rolling Oaks Course which is probably the easiest course. There were plenty of challenges. Grass just starting to grow in from winter but still in very good shape. Great day, this course is more like Northern courses. Not like most Fl courses. Good deals available for twilight or at sites like Golf Now with limited availability. Book directly with the course if you like won't be sorry - well worth the money.

this is the third or fourth time I have played WW and it is still as good as it gets for a public course. This is not your typical florida layout. You'd never know you were playing in florida. Late February and the Bermuda wasn't grown in yet but they had over seeded and the conditions were very good. Great greens with plenty of challenge. I don't think I will ever go to the Tampa area again without including WW. It's worth the drive.

We played on a Tuesday that was a 85% rainy day forecast. It took us 1 hour and 20 minutes from St. Petersburg to reach World Wood but YES it was worth the drive. Due to the forecast, most people cancelled so we were an hour early to practice but we ended up getting right on the course to try to beat the rain. Really nice employees who told us to take our time, play several balls if we wanted because the nearest T time to ours was 2 hours later. All others had cancelled! It was stop and go to wait out the rain but we got all 18 holes in on the Rolling Oaks course. Great value with a good lunch included in the $70 each price. Would like to return someday- course in great shape and very well maintained

I love playing this course, unfortunately it is too far from Tampa to play on a regular basis. I recently had 5 golfing buddies visiting and we played 5 courses. Far and away World Woods (Pine Barrens) was in THE best condition. In Tampa in February the fairways have often gone dormant and chipping can be hit or miss. But from tee to green WW was in phenomenal shape compared to all the others (including 2 semi-private country clubs). The locker room and restaurant are below average in terms of accommodations, but that's not why you play at WW -- you come for the course!

World Woods has two 18 hole golf courses to play. The courses are always in great shape, and the pace of play is good. It is worth the drive from Tampa.

My husband and I played both courses twice. We played got the twilight rate the first day and the weekday rate the next day and those are great deals. We payed twice that on Friday and Saturday. The courses are in good shape with many interesting shots and views. The practice facilities are varied and give you many opportunities to practice. We especially liked the 3 practice holes. We did not like the dining facility and felt it was not up to standard with the course nor were the locker rooms. Our service and food at the grill was only ok and the room is not as nice as our average park district courses. I would think they would have a nicer place as there are no other restaurants within a half hour of the courses.

3rd time on rolling oaks & 1st time on pine barrens. Both courses were in excellent condition. Anyone considering making the treck out to Brooksville shouldn't think twice. The level on golf on this property is superb. Two extremely nice courses and the best practice facilities ive ever seen! Get to world woods if you haven't already!

My husband and I played the Pine Barrens with another couple. Fazio design with lots of waste bunkers make this very challenging. The forward tees set up very well for women and seniors if you can be accurate. The course was very busy but the pace of play was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rangers kept things moving in a very professional way.

We never miss a chance to play both courses at World Woods. The place is amazing! Beautiful practice area to get you started, wonderful and helpful staff, and 36 championship holes. If you are a golfer, you can't miss World Woods.

My buddy and I were lucky enough to play 18 holes there. It was in a very good shape and the greens are very nice. Very responsibly priced.

The breakfast buffet is great...before or after the 9th....the Grill has a good selection for "wetting the whistle" after the 18th and the scenery on the course is next to none...thanks World WoodsKTMAC

Beautiful golf facility and you can choose your degree of difficulty when you book. We played the less difficult course and it was certainly challenging enough! Just wish I was a better golfer! Our day was a bit more difficult as we could not take the carts off the path. (The course had just received a dousing of 5.5 inches of rain!) It's true what they say about golf, as difficult and frustrating as it may be, you always want to go back to try again. We would certainly like to give this course another go.

Best conditions best layouts best run, best managed after 20 yrs there is no equal for golf and value. Food is just ok These are folks who know what business they are in...service

Our group of 6 golfers stayed at the course villas from Wed - Sun and played 6 rounds. Excellent course conditions & practice facility. Starters & Rangers on course very friendly. Pure golf. The Villas had everything and about 2 miles from course and close to grocery store,gas grills at Villas.Very reasonable rates and excellent place for a golf get away.
