I was greeted at the front by their friendly staff and immediately escorted to one of the rooms. The spa was very clean and decorated with a modern Japanese theme. From the outside you would never think how nice it is inside. The masseuse, Lucy, asked me if I wanted to upgrade from a Swedish massage to a deep tissue/Japanese style massage for a nominal fee. I agreed. By far this was one of the best massages that I have ever received & was very happy. I had my scalp, face and whole body massaged. She did these amazing stretches to my legs, neck and back. She also got on the table and walked on my back getting every pressure point. She placed a hot towel on my back a eucalyptus scented oil in some areas. Lucy said that she's been a masseur for 18+ years & it shows. I will definitely return again.
After years of tight shoulders I decided to start scheduling a monthly massage. I didn't feel comfortable with a chain and the hotel spas are quite a drive from here. Massage Eden is now called Eden Spa and I stopped in to make an appointment. I hadn't had a massage in well over ten years and wasn't sure what to expect. I was greeted by Kim who directed me to a room, which was quiet and very relaxing. I appreciated that Kim was not chatty like other massage therapists I've had in the past. Her massage was relaxing and effective in beginning to loosen up my shoulder muscles. I've decided to make this a monthly therapy and would recommend Eden Spa to others.
Very nice and clean! the staff are so friendly! I only went there once, but I was very pleased the experience! I also enjoyed the facials for half hour. the best massage I ever had! I would definitely recommend to any one wish to enjoy a professional service!
While I cannot speak for the quality of massages given at this spa, I can certainly speak for the questionable business practices at Massage Eden. If you read many of the reviews on this site and other similar review websites, you will notice a trend of deceit and, frankly, criminal practice. This 'business' routinely sells gift certificates for full-priced services (including tip in my case) and Groupon vouchers (discounted prices for service) and then refuses to honor them when customers attempt to redeem them. Massage Eden claims that they are 'under new management' and they cannot honor a gift certificate or Groupon sold by the previous owner. My personal experience was that my husband purchased a gift certificate for a $70 Swedish Massage and included a $16 tip for a Valentines Day present for me on February 13, 2013. When I stopped in to make an appointment, they claimed to be under new ownership and could not honor the gift certificate. After expressing my dissatisfaction, their only solution was to give me the same service at a discount - for $45 and my tip was lost. I was not willing to spend $131 for a $70 service, so I left Massage Eden. I went home and got online to do some research and discovered that I was not the only person that this had happened to. What made me suspect that this was not a true story, was the period of time with which other complaints were being posted on various review sites. Currently, Massage Eden is offering a a deal on Groupon for a 60-minute Swedish Massage for $49 and claim that the regular price is $100 (but if you go to their website, they offer the Swedish Massage for $70) or a 60-minute Swedish Massage and a facial for $69. You will also notice that there are complaints on this very website dated a few weeks ago, from customers claiming that these Groupons are not being honored and the reason: They are under new management! 19 months later!?!? BUYERS BEWARE!
I am a LMT in Florida and resident in Miramar, as an active masseur I go very often to Massage Eden to get my body massaged, and all I can sincerely say is that this is the best place for massage, the staff is very skilled and dedicated. So far the best deep tissue and ashiatsu ( they literally walk in your back grabbing a parallel bar from the ceiling) I don't really agree with all the CHEAP people that complain for a groupon or discount voucher, if you really want to get the best service, you have to pay for it !! FIVE STARS !!!
My wife had a massage/facial scheduled for 10:30 this morning (9/23). I purchased the package through Groupon and made the appointment over a week ago, letting the scheduler know it was a Groupon. I printed out the official voucher from my Groupon account (complete with bar code, tracking number, value of groupon, etc.), the same kind of voucher I use EVERY TIME that I use Groupon. Upon entry into Eden Spa, my wife was told that the voucher was not going to be accepted and that some kind of "receipt" was needed. Again, the voucher was official and could only be printed from my account (and it was valid until Oct. 29, 2014). Your employee also insulted my wife by implying that she was trying to defraud the spa. I believe the woman's exact words to my wife were, "Oh, anybody can print that (voucher) out and bring it in here." I have since called Groupon to let them know about this terrible incident. They agreed to refund my money and make a note of this incident for their records. I am posting this on social media as a warning to others who may attempt to redeem their Groupon at Eden Spa. As a massage therapist herself, my wife was simply shocked at the behavior and treatment today. She does, however, feel badly for the Eden therapist today who lost both her hourly compensation and what would have been a very nice gratuity from a fellow massage therapist.By the way, the email on the company website does not work. My message came back as “undeliverable” to qin181@yahoo.com.
I booked a swedish massage for my husband and I for our anniversary and had a great experience. The staff was nice and the massage was very relaxing for both of us!
I went to this place and I have a 5 stars service. I recommend to anyone. This place have a beautiful environment, delightful interior design and a very happy people helping.
I purchased a gift card as a present for my mom and they won't honor it!!!! It was for a 1 hr Swedish massage and 1 hr facial w/ tip it cost well over $150.00. And when she called to make the apt they said it's under new management. I paid cash so there is no way for me to report it to my credit card company. I think this company should have honored this gift certificate. If they could have taken over their furniture, decor and name of the business they should have taken on their customers as well!!!!! I wish there was someone I could call to get my money back!!! Or even just get the massage done!!!!
Grand Opening!New ownership ,As of April 1st,2013, Massage Eden is under new ownership. Now The Spa Name it's " Massage Spa " . And Unfortunately "Massage Spa" can no longer accept Coupons and gift certificates that were issued under old ownership.we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, we value you as our customer, and are willing to extend discounted services, for those that present valid cards and certificates only, these discounted services are valid until June 30,2013."Massage Spa "Management.Thank you!
I do not recommend massage eden in miramar. I purchased a $100.00 gift card for my wife and now we are told that management changed and they do not honor the gift card. This place is a scam. We will never use them again. Highly disappointed.
I wanted to warn you all about using Massage Eden in Miramar located at 16319 Miramar Parkway (near Chili's restaurant). My husband purchased a gift certificate for a Swedish Massage, and included a tip (an $86 value), as a gift me me for Valentines Day 2013. I called to make an appointment in April and had a hard time communicating with the receptionist. What I did understand, though, was that there was some sort of problem and she was not allowing me to book an appointment. Frustrated, I told her I would drive down to Massage Eden and speak directly to them, hoping a face-to-face would be a little easier. Once I arrived at this business, I was told that my gift card would not be honored because the current owner just purchased the business from the previous owners - even though the name of the business remained the same, as well as all of the furniture and decor. I asked if I could get the name and address of the previous owners for a refund, but I was told that they did not have that information. The receptionist/owner then offered to give me a Swedish Massage at a discounted price of $50! I actually had to repeat what she had just offered to me, stating that the massage would then cost ME $136!!!!! I told her absolutely NOT and then she suggested I call my credit card company and ask for a refund from them - a solution that I still was not satisfied with - why should my credit card company take a loss for this business!?!? I decided to Google 'Massage Eden' in an attempt to leave a bad review on any and all sites possible and I found that many others have had the same experience.
Highly recommend Massage Eden, as a business traveler I find relief from fatigue with a good deep tissue massage and this place is great!
I have been getting massages here every week from Jessica who is absolutely amazing because she focuses on your needs. She makes sure to ask, what you have been doing this week and what would you like to concentrate on. She does awesome deep tissue if thats what you like, she sometimes gives you an idea of other types, like she tried Bamboo massage for 2 minutes so that I can get a feel for it. I normally get the swedish. When I hurt my back last week, my first impulse was to find Jessica and ask her to help straighten it out. I made the mistake of going to another masseuse there and that was money wasted. I can see why some people didnt have the best experience, its probably because they didnt have Jessica.
I get massages weekly and I was told the girl I had does deep tissue massages. She was a very sweet girl but she did not do deep issue. It was more like a swedish massage. If I ever come back to this area I definitely would rather check out a european spa instead. The price was rather not expensive.
