Decent layout and conditions, not overly challenging, nor scenic. Good value with 3 nines to choose from. Carts with gps. Twilight rates make this even more favorable. Old school resort and not glamorous by any means. Restaurant has good food and huge portions.
A friend of mine lives near the course but hasn't played it in quite some time. Course was over rated as far as service and conditions. Very wet, lots of weeds and the greens were not very good. Doubt I will return, but gave it a 3 because the bartender was nice!
Not sure about the whole hotel and spa thing buit the golf has always been great here. Obviously can be very wet in the summer time but thats the same all over South Florida. I like the fact you have 3 nine hole courses so you can mix them up. Some really nice holes out there with plenty of well positioned traps and water. Enjoy......... I do Food and drinks in the 19th are expensive as expected but quality has always been good. Always seem short handed with the bar tender serving and bussing tables also
Make no mistake here you are staying here for convenience to shops/motorways rather than the miami life. Got a suite with a patio - an upgrade apparently. Does the job, old hotel and it does smell old, it's clean enough, wifi and free parking so all good and a few washing machines to do your wash quick before you go home. Would I stay again? If I had to but I don't have to.. So probably not. That's not saying it's bad. If you need to be in the area, it's clean and functional. I just expect a bit more than that - maybe expectations too high sometimes.
We played there twice and on both occasions were round in well under 4 hours. The course was in good condition, a bit wet here and there but there had been a lot of rain before we got there. The greeting in the pro shop was good both times, and although the starter was a bit quiet he got us off immediately both times. Suggest before 9:00am will get you round pretty quickly. From the reviews of the hotel glad we didn't stay there!!
The owner has invested some money into the course and restaurant, but the latest patch/fix is not enough. The Hotel/restaurants needs a demolition and build from scratch. The golf course has been improved the most, but it still has a huge problem with drainage and without this fix, the golf course will never be in any acceptable condition to be considered "Pristine"....
While the courses at Grand Palms are both interesting and challenging, they could sometimes be better maintained. Forget playing rainy weeks, as the courses get soggy. Good enough pro shop, decent 19th hole bar with some friendly staff. I play the course for convenience and practice, since I live nearby. I would not recommend the hotel, which needed maintenance and upgrading years ago and didn't get it. Decidedly sub-par for a "Country Club" hotel - even for a cheap, expressway off-ramp hotel - which it is not. The restaurant is not worth a drive, even living in the neighborhood.
This course needs help and money. The greens are fair at best and need up grading. The fairways are challenging with a nice combination of traps and water...also kept in fair condition. Fees are reasonable but course conditions make it pricey. Finally,,,the staff are rude and offputting
Golf course is nice, but the rest is sub par. Hotel is old and dingy, restaurant the same. This is in a residential community, but again the golf course is nice.
Maybe the condition could be better on some of the holes, but the layout was very good and not too difficult for different kinds of handicaps
So we come here after looking on the internet which website offers the best price. Then my son and I play there and its not a bad course, some parts seem abandoned but all in all I'm there to play with my son and appreciate every minute. Is the attention and service of the best quality, I would say no. I don't enjoyed a a service industry person take a superior attitude or order me around I think it was the starter so maybe the service was underpar in this case not a good thing.
I have been to this golf course several times. It is fairly good. The greens are not always in the best condition. Somewhat challenging holes. The parking is a long distance from the clubhouse. If you don't want to drop off your bags and leave them unattended, the walk is tiring carrying your clubs.

We had no electricity so we chose to stay in this hotel on the premises where we live. It was disgusting to stay here. The room felt like a concrete block.Never stay here. The golf course may be nice; the housing areas are well kept; the hotel is run-down and embarassing.
I like to eat at the Mamajuan cafe and resturant. Excellent brunch, the coconut fish is a most, the Dominican mangu is great and tasty. The friday in this location is good place to spend a few hours dancing the night a way. Tips are automatically included in any drinks you order.
