I booked a private flight for our 1st wedding anniversary. From my first initial contact with the staff to the end of the flight was all perfect . I decided to surprise my wife with the "romantic dinner" to the #Hillstone in Winter Park. Our pilot updated me throughout the day to pick a perfect departure time due to the weather. The take off was awesome and smooth and the flight was very interactive and fun. We flew down and skidded on the water many times and saw a ton of wildlife . We landed at the Hillstone and were escorted to our table promptly. The wait staff were amazingly professional and the setting was perfect. The food was delicious in every way. Once we were done eating our waitress informed our pilot and we departed soon after. The flight back was just as swell and smooth. We landed back in Mt Dora early enough in the evening where we had enough time to enjoy the town at night. My wife and I will definitely be back for one of their trips soon. :)

Excellent flight. We took the 30 minutes flight - good views, landed in lake, very smooth landing.Pilot was informative and pleasant, and very good at flying. Treat yourself to a trip, you won't be disappointed.

Went with our mother who turned 85 and my sister who turned a big "0" and myself also celebrating a (younger) birthday. We had a great ride on a beautiful day. Our pilot Rob was super kind and showed us all the hidden gems in Lake county. We will be doing this again, great family business! DO IT you WILL LOVE IT!!!!

This December I spent a few days in Florida on holiday and booked 1 1/2 hours seaplane instruction at Jones Brothers. I completed a seaplane rating up in Canada this summer and thought it would be a good idea to keep current and get some new imputs. Rob, the instructor, was excellent. He was relaxed, informative and I learned a lot during the lesson. It was also a lot of fun. My wife was able to come along for the ride which made her day. Everyone there both flying and ground staff were friendly and helpful and I would certainly recommend Jones Brothers to anyone thinking about doing a seaplane rating in Florida.

Most exciting thing we have ever done on a trip, well almost the most exciting....went up about 300 -500 feet in small Cessna seaplane over Lake Dora area in Tavares, Florida; the pilot was a young fellow and very skilled and obviously enjoyed flying, his Dad works for Delta airlines. We got great views of the lakes, the town, the general area, including perfectly-formed round lakes (created from sinkholes). It was great to go up, come down again, then go up again, then down, even flew over/near the local airport; great way to see a place, not to mention the experience of being in a small plane where you feel the wind gusts and very conscious of what air flight is really about.

We had a very good time flying with these guys: very professional and great experience. They have a choice of aircraft to fly and we have decided to take Cessna 180 - quite big and comfortable plane for a couple and a pilot. I would strongly recommend to challenge yourself with flying over the Florida lakes - it is so beautiful!

Whilst on holiday in Florida we drove through Tavares on the way to Mount Dora. We stopped to see the steam Train and enjoyed a walk to the lakefront where we stumbled on the seaplanes. What a very pleasant idea to take one of the flights offered by Jones Brothers. Rob was our pilot who was very informative. We flew over Lake Dora and little lake Harriss and took a birds eye view of the islands and some of the history connected with area. It was a fantastic experience and one that shouldn't be missed and well worth the money. We really enjoyed it, thank you Rob will recommend highly!!!

My daughter handed me her preprogrammed GPS and my son and I went to claim in search of our surprise. We ended up at the seaplane ramp and after a very quick preflight loaded up for a flight over Lake Griffin. The pilot took us northeast towards Lake Yale and then across the mouth of the Oklawaha River. My son had a great time taking pictures of work, our house in Fruitland Park and just "neat stuff" in general. We finished up on the southeast shoreline of Lake Harris to Howey where we turned north making a huge S-turn to a smooth landing back at the dock. Great first Seaplane ride and quick aerial tour of the area.

As a birthday gift to my husband, my daughter and I surprised him with a planned seaplane flight. We flew on a crystal clear Florida day, and we could see so much! The world looks so different from above than on the roads. We saw familiar places from the sky this time. It was so enjoyable! I felt like the price was reasonable for the 20 minute flight we took. I am recommending this to family and friends for a fun little excursion away from the norm. As a plus, the little lakeside area of Tavares was a delightful place to have lunch and watch more sea planes come and go. Definitely recommend this 100%.

We spent a very enjoyable weekend in and around Mount Dora. Our flight with Jones Brothers was the highlight of our trip. We chose the Splash and Dash tour. Every part of the experience was first-class. The woman that handles the reservations was very friendly and explained our flight options clearly. Our pilot, Rob, was courteous, friendly and professional. The ride was phenomenal from take off to landing. The thrill of gliding over the water and then smoothly taking flight was awesome. The views around the many lakes in the area were superb. The splash and dash was fun. The landing was much more secure and smoother than I expected. The flight is the type of adventure that you will never forget. I highly recommend Jones Brothers to anyone visiting the Mount Dora/Tavares area. I would have thought that this would have been a "once-in-a-lifetime" adventure, but we will return and do it again soon!

My wife gave me a flight around Lake Dora for my birthday. She's afraid of heights but still went with me (now that's devotion). Our pilot, Rob, was totally awesome! He flew us over gators, the Howey Mansion, Lake Harris, Mount Dora, and did a "splash and dash" where you skid across the water with the plane but then keep flying. We even raced a speed boat. Unreal experience! You really understand why this is LAKE county when you're in the air.. There's more water than land. I had such an incredible experience that I can't wait to do it again! I highly recommend Jones Brothers and pilot Rob.

Friendly bunch of people working there. I had never been to Tavares before and went to Wooten park and the seaplane base on Lake Dora. How cool! Rides were reasonably priced and the crew is great! Friendly knowledgable if you care to know about flying and seaplanes and the location is wild. Steam locomotive right there with eateries and bars. Definitely be back.

Had a great experience with the sea plane ride. Richie, our pilot was very courteous and professional and showed my 7 year old a great experience flying off the water. Enjoyed it very much. Told my wife we did it and she was jealous. Ready to make another trip back to Tavares and take her up next. Thank you Jones brothers and Richie.

We picked a good day to take a flight over Lake County, Florida. The air was clear and calm and we really enjoyed our flight. The pilot was very calming as one in our group was somewhat nervous. I'd do this again when the opportunity presents itself.

Me and my friend were attending Z-Fest in Tavares Fl. At Wooten Park. We decided to try the Seaplane ride.My friend had never flown in a light aircraft before.For a reasonable fee we were able to enjoy a 20min.plus ride including a touch & go on the water.Rob (the pilot) was very professional through out the trip.For me the coolest part was the 58 year old Cessna 172. It brought back memories of flying with my parents in their 172 when I was young. I would recomend this trip to my friends.My girl friend loved it.
