Excellent service and great selection of reading material. The atmosphere is wonderful place to relax and enjoy a good read. Great place to take the grandchildren for enlightenment.

This library is amazing whether you want to choose a DVD from the many shelves, or use the computers, take out books to get you through vacation or to look at the amazing sea shell collection on the main floor. You can even check out a bag with all the things you need for preparing a particular dish of food.

The library is geared both to residents and tourists. Wonderful collection of travel resources and electronic media to entertain on a rainy day.

Sanibel Library is a beautiful place, staff is friendly and helpful. If you can't find a book they will go out of their way to get it for you. There is a computer room to use and if you want to stay and read, there is a porch with rocking chairs overlooking the Sanibel River. Such a gorgeous view and a serene experience...You won't want to leave.

WE felt we had to see why the library continues to rate high on things to do! Lovely shell exhibit,great selection of magazines and newpapers with comfy seating to read was a pleasure. We also had live jazz music and cookies!

Great library. Plenty of computers, newspapaers magazines. They give you a free one hour pass to use the computer. Tons of shells on display.

This is a small but very nice library. The only negative is that the bathrooms are locked and you have to get the key from the front desk.

This library does Sanibel proud. It's got everything. For non-property owning visitors to the Island, one-year cards are available for $10. For library lovers, it's money well spent.

This is perhaps the finest local library I've ever been in. Staff is helpful and it's easy to sign up for your winter membership. Terrific selection of books, CDs, videos, etc. Perfect place for anytime!

Worth cycling over to take a look. Interesting building - and a very good collection. Really helpful tech chap at the PC desks.

Very nice, modern library. Great children's section and nice teen area. We go often since my son attends the Sanibel School and has required reading for a grade. Haven't had time to take advantage of all that the library has to offer but working on it. Happy Reading!

You can get a library card and check out books and DVDs. Also, you can use their computers. We visited the library almost everyday as it had screened porches and comfortable seating to read at your leisure.

If i'm in a location for more than a week, I almost always check out the library. Sanibel's is the best I've ever been to. Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful building, great collection of books and audio books, etc. It they dont have what you want---just put in a request. They have a ton of other educational programs and the best "author series" of anyplace I've been to. I was recently there w/ my grandkids who really enjoyed the educational toys and storytime. It is worth a trip there

The building interior is fresh and well-appointed, and the book, video, and audio book availability is extensive. The staff--mostly volunteers, many snowbirds--are outstandingly eager to provide information and guidance. The library additionally offers unique opportunities, including a jigsaw puzzle awaiting communal participation, numerous computer terminals, and cooking kits for check-out that include tools and utensils for that one-time need to prepare salads, cookies, cakes, and more.
