I had a really good time at the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum. While small looking from the outside, it is extremely well organized on the inside... Filled to the brim!! The Guys who own it have done an amazing job put in a lot of hard work, and we're very personable... Guided me through the entire Museum and showed me their fantastic works in progress for the Museum. This place is packed with early Aviation Memorabilia, 100's of amazing hand carved/painted models, beautiful original rotary engines from the early 1900's, a Cosmonaut Helmet... Even a hand written letter from Orville Wright!!Packed with gems is this small Hangar!! While not as dramatic as huge Aerospace Museums like Wright-Patterson or the Smithsonian... Early Aviation was small scale and simple. Ernie Hall is indeed a piece of History, one of the Worlds First Aviators ...This Museum is a worthwhile stop and worth of support from the Public. I had a good time there and highly recommend you stop by as well!
This is a must see for those who interested in aviation or local history. Ernie Hall was an amazing man. This museum is really something special. It's relatively new, so if you haven't checked it out yet, you should.
This is quite a local and fascinating museum about an early avaitor. He was flying in the early days of avaition in the teens through 1971. There are momentos to him(Earnie Pyle) and to many significant avaition events through the many years of flight. There are momentos from WW!,WW2, the Korean conflict and even Viet Nam.
Man this brand new museum is a throw back to the days of old when as a kid I would ride my bicycle down to Ernie Hall field to watch the plane's fly. If your older than 60 and lived in the Howland/Warren area you would remember his grass field airport off Rt 46 in Howland. This museum is worth the time to take you back well in time. It's small but extremely nice so worth the visit.
Although not well known, this small museum is a jewel. We attended the 2nd Annual Wings-n-Wheels event in August benefiting the museum and the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County. The museum is impressive - well laid out and a beautiful display of historical items regarding Ernie Hall and the aviation era. If you are in the area definitely take time to visit.
