I only got to visit a few of the wineries in Oregon, but this was my favorite. The tasting was incredible, and I liked all of the wines that I tasted. I ended up purchasing the Pinot Gris Rose to take home. The tasting fee is only $10, and you get to taste 6 wines. It's a great value compared to some of the other wineries.

Friendly staff and a great value. Their Pinot Noir is always one of my favorite light reds, very comfortable patio.

We have been Erath fans for years and were so happy to finally visit the winery. Our server did a good job of explaining each of the wines and we enjoyed the visit. However we were disappointed to learn that Erath doesn't grow any of its grapes. It purchases from other vineyards.

This winery was our first stop in our tasting tour of the Dundee Hills and was probably for the best. The wines were ok, but we have found better at most other wineries. For the $10 tasting fee, you will get to sample six wines.

We love Erath wines. Their Pinot Noirs are always top notch, and the winery itself is a taste treat for the eyes. We are delighted to be members of their wine club and look forward to every shipment.

Enjoyed a tasting flight and cheese plate on the patio overlooking the valley. Couldn't ask for a better afternoon. Wines are very reasonably priced for the novice wine drinker.

This was our first stop on a self-guided tour of Oregon wineries. On a weekday afternoon in July the patio was almost empty and although they serve no food, you are allowed to bring and eat outside food. Although the tasting room is less lavish than many of the newer vineyards, the staff was friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for local places to eat (see Red Hills Market).

This vineyard is a little higher in elevation than some others in the area, so there's not the long expansive view of the valley, but the patio and tasting room are very comfortable and have a nice setting near the forest. The wines are quite good, and a flight of six tastes is only $10.

We have been going for a while to Erath winery, because they have really good wines (particularly Pinot Noir), and because they're well located. Their tasting room has an outdoor area where you can sit and order your tasting "kit", a full glass or even a full bottle and enjoy it under the sun. It can get a bit crowded at some times, but their wines are pretty good, in the moderate side of the price spectrum, so to me the visit is absolutely worthwhile. My top two issues with Erath are: 1) their service is good, but not great. It is polite but impersonal, in particular if you're trying to learn more about their wine, and is a stark contrast with most other (smaller) wineries/tasting rooms we visited. This might be a sad reflection of their growth.2) if you are interested in becoming a member, their wine club policies are quite passive-aggressive for out-of-state members unless you choose to ship.

Erath sells itself as one of the oldest vineyards. But the original players have all changed and we found the brand to be now all about mass production, wanting bland consistency for mass market instead of letting the terroir and weather variation come through. Tasting room staff weren't helpful and were the most condescending of our time in Oregon. Wine was also among the least enjoyable. Skip and spend your time and money elsewhere.

Our hotel gave us vouchers for wine tasting for 2 people at 4 wineries in the Dundee area! This was our first stop. Everyone was very friendly & the building/atmosphere is wonderful! I am a cab/merlot type of girl, so didn't find a wine that suited me. The server recommended another tasting room in town for those wines, a nice touch of honesty & integrity!

I've been a fan of Erath for years and this was my second time visiting their lovely vineyard. The person who provided our tasting flight was very knowledgable and friendly. You can't go wrong with any of Erath's wines as they are some of the best in the Willamette Valley. We ended up bringing back each a bottle of the Knights Gambit Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The tasting flights are $10 (I believe), but are waved when you purchase $30 or more (a bargain, in my opinion).

If you are looking for the high-end wineries that are trying to compete with Napa and Sonoma valley wineries, this is probably not what you are looking for. If you want an excellent representation of Willamette Valley wines and great service and atmosphere, then this is more your style. My wife and I typically have a rule that we avoid wineries that have "Limo Parking" signs. They do have one, but I didn't see any limos! The staff was friendly and the wines were very good. No great lookouts over the valley or vineyards, but it feels like a real winery. Beautiful drive to get to it, too.

My sister came to Wine Country with some very high expectations. She is quite a wine drinker and has done some extensive touring through France's wine country and was interested in getting the Pinot Noir experience from Oregon. Erath is such a well known name and so we came here. The place is beautiful, with nice views of the vineyards, the wines are decent - the wine tasting experience was NOT good. When you ask someone where a Pinot Noir comes from and their answer is OREGON...that is just quite shocking. The knowledge of the wines was TERRIBLE. This must be from our discovery that Erath actually purchases grapes from other vineyards around the big landscape that is OREGON. I can't tell you how disappointing the people doing the wine tasting were. Blah. Skip this one on your tour.
