Where else can you get a Gourmet, Kosher, HotDog with all the trimmings, including homemade honey mustard, a bag of chips of your choice, and a tall soda for under $5 bucks?? The Market is also well stocked with all necessities, including a nice produce section, and Grass fed beef. The ladies at the counter are always cheerful, and quick to get your order out. We would NEVER pass Langlois without stopping and getting a Hot Dog, hungry, or not. You can always save it and eat it later!!!

We've been staying in Bandon this past week, and on our last day ventured to Cape Blanco Lighthouse and the Hughes House (both great and worthwhile visits, as an aside). While at the Hughes House, one of the volunteers told us about the hot dogs here, so we stopped on our way back to Bandon. The hot dogs were really very good (not best ever, but well worth the stop), but the hidden gem for the craft beer lover that I am was the simply incredible selection of craft beers (mostly from Oregon) in 22-oz. bomber size bottles. We'd pretty much exhausted the stocks in Bandon (trying to sample as many different ones as possible) and I was staggered by the 125-150 different bombers available. Only regret was discovering this place on our last day!!

While staying in Bandon we made a special trip to Langlois Market in Langlois, Oregon at the insistance of more than one of our friends.I must say the hot dog was worth the drive (17 miles). The market is unimpressive, old, and only has a small eating area, but the hot dogs are fantastic! They make their own honey mustard and pickles and you must have them. A great treat in old fashioned grocery store surroundings. This is not "fine dining" but it is good eating! We would go again.

My husband and I live in Coos Bay. We love the south OR coast so are frequently near Langlois hiking, etc. We have visited Langlois Market 3 times because told hot dogs are good. First time they seemed busy, so thought the rude attitude of the staff was forgiveable. Second time, barely tolerable. The last time, just trying to order a hot dog; myself and another poor customer given the 3rd degree. Not again. There's no excuse for treating people disrespectfully when you are being courteous. Shame on owners of Langlois Market for promulgating such a distain for their customers.

Several people had recommended their hot dogs but I never had the time to stop and sample them. Finally made it...and they lived up to their reputation. From now on I'll arrange my schedule to buy lunch there...and you should, too!

After a busy day we made dinner of their sandwiches which feature homemade mustard and mayo. They were outstanding. And their ice cream in the homemade cones were a real treat.

Just back from a long trip and I just needed to get this review off my chest first. I caught a quick line about Langlois Market in some travel info. I had pulled together and it just so happened I needed a bite to eat when I hit town. If you're traveling, chances are you'll need a bite when you hit town as well as its perfectly situated between not much of anything (aside from Coos Bay to the north.) If you're sneaking your way down the coast, stop in and try the dog. Become number 615,001 to do so (according to their sign boasting the number served.)It's all about the mustard, homemade mustard, with just the right kick. They serve it with pickles and mustard and who am I to argue that? I didn't try to get fancy, I just took it how they dealt it. Do yourself a favor, order more than one. I was too lazy to go get another after gobbling up the first one and do I regret it now being 2500 miles away. Exactly what I love about traveling - finding an off the beaten path spot that will utterly surprise you and keep you talking forever. It might be 15+ years before I get back again but hopefully I can find another weary traveler and make their day!

Langlois Market is indeed a hidden gem on the Oregon Coast! Of course the delicous hotdogs, topped with a delicious home made sweet honey mustard sauce are worth stopping for any day! They now also offer homemade soups, utilizing as many local ingredients as possible! I recommend the split pea soup served with chopped onion pieces on top! They also use Organic grassfed beef and organic beans for their chili con carne!Their staff is always very helpful and serve your food with a smile! It's THE STOP to make, when driving along beautiful Hwy 101!

You will find just about every thing you will need at this great little country store. Try one of their famous hot dogs.

The Langlois Market appears to be quiet and unassuming, with the usual wood siding and huge baskets of flowers typical of a small town establishment. The surprise is inside, where you will find one of the most congenial proprietors in the country! Lee hails from Hawaii and instills plenty of 'Aloha Spirit' into his store. Not only does he serve up the best hot dogs in Oregon, he aslo has a full deli and a rather well-appointed selection of local, natural beef and thick-sliced bacon. Throughout the store you will find many delicacies, including local jams, salad from Abbie's OG Greens, Lee's Bees (not related) honeys and a respectable variety of wines. But for me the piece d'resistance are the wide variety of organic products. He supplies his store from many sources, including Trader Joe's. Ok, so I am not so into the stuffed wildlife he has for decor, but that's me (and the cougar actually did encroach right near the town, attacking sheep, no excuses, just sayin'). This small local market is a bit of a hub on the So. Oregon coast, and not to be missed!
