The Umpqua wine region, near Roseburg, in Southern Oregon is a diverse one with some good wineries. It's also set in a more rustic area. I visit them every year or two. Reustle has grown from offering 3-4 varietals to 14 varietals covering French, German, Spanish and even a New Zealand like Sauvignon Blanc (without the pungent NZ aroma) . All are true to the varietals origin. And most of them have fared very well in competition (lots of Gold medals). The Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc and German whites are among my favorites.Getting there is a small challenge as it resides in a small picturesque valley, but is worth it. They have built an outdoor patio and the wine caves also serve as tasting rooms. When going heavy into wine tasting and its "belly up to the bar" atmosphere it's nice to have a sit down serving with food accompaniment to do things I enjoy...relax, taste wines with and without food, and talk about them with companions. I highly recommend Reustle and applaud their accomplishments, especially for a relatively small winery and will continue to visit them yearly.

The tasting room is great and they always have interesting cheese and cracker or other snacks to serve with wine. We are wine club members here so we come as often as we can. The tasting room is gorgeous.

The owners have done a wonderful job of creating an environment that makes you feel you are in France. Tasting rooms are very personal, and make for a real great experience.

Reustle is a little farther out of the way than some of the Roseburg area wineries but well worth the trip. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable and they do make Great wines there. Probably the best Sauvignon Blanc I've ever had, and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Taste in the cave if you can but outside is, as I mentioned, beautiful too. Nobody else even makes a Gruener Veltlner (not sure if I spelled it without a bottle in front of me) outside of Austria and Hungary that I know of. And I'm a RED fan ........

We visited with out of town guests. The Cave is truly a unique place to enjoy wine tastings and food parings. A must see when traveling through Roseburg area.

This winery has constructed caves for tasting and barrel storage, it's pretty cool. Pro tip - ask if they have one of the small cave rooms available for tasting. Great staff, professional, nice wine. Very Napa-esque for an Oregon winery.

My parents took my husband and I here while visiting Oregon, what an experience. The grounds were beautiful, and had a breathtaking view. I love that Reustle specializes in French and Italian varietals, such a pleasant change from our exposure in the Livermore Valley. I enjoyed the flight and the food pairings, although I noticed, while everyone had the same flight of wines, not all the food pairings were the same. We wrapped up our tasting with a cave tour, which was pretty interesting. All staff was very friendly and the owner even made a point to thank us for coming in. Reustle has a very homey feel, which we enjoyed. We left with 2 bottles of their Syrah, thanks to my parents member discount.

All other wineries we have been to are just tastings with crackers (maybe) in between. This winery was top notch with a tour, private seating in the wine cave, short video and yummy treats paired with the 4 tastings for $10. Awesome experience and the grounds are beautiful too. Loved the white that was from a Austrian vines. Loved it!

Wow wow wow! Reustle was our 3rd winery visit of the day and it was favorite of them all. The staff was amazing and very educated about their wine. You could tell that they were passionate about their business and were truly grateful that we were visiting them. We lingered for awhile there. I can't wait to go back. Stop here and make sure to check out the wine cave! We left with a bottle of syrah and had it as a treat for a last meal in Oregon!

This winery has elevated the 'art of the sale' to a new level, which is much more in the tradition of Napa-Sonoma, CA rather than that of more traditional OR wineries. Sad to see. Yes, they put in a man-made 'cave' that they use for atmosphere, along with food-pairings, to promote whatever wine they trying to sell you (their selections, not necessarily yours). And charge you $10 for the 'tasting' sales pitch. I'm sorry, but after the first time, the song & dance gets old. What I really irritates me is their assumption that one needs to be 'educated' in how to taste their wines. I have an extensive background in the subject, and don't need their education, er, sales pitch. I just want to go in, select a flight of wines I would like to try, and make my own decisions. I can skip the 'cave', the food-pairings, and the sales pitch telling me about what I am tasting (after all, I AM tasting the wine, and I know what I'm looking for). A more reasonable charge for this type of tasting would be in order, too. But, alas, one does not have this option there. So I will not be returning. Besides, for all the pretension, their wines have been, for the most part, not exceptional. And although I am a person of faith, I would prefer a less religious experience when wine tasting.

We stopped in last week on a friends advice, so glad we did! The winery is really a super cool spot , put together by the owner and his wife , they did a super super job.They feature a wine cave that is not to be missed, wine is served with food samples that are great. The owner and his wife work the winery daily and are very very nice. The Mgr came and talked with us even though they were bottling wine.A 10 , don't miss it !Mike & Cindy

Personally, I think this is the best wine in the area. The wine cave is truly amazing, and the staff is great. A must for wine tasters in the Roseburg area. Also, a GREAT wine club.

My favorite winery so far. We enjoy family wine tasting visits when people come into town our first visit was early August and we have already gone back! We joined the wine club here to enjoy more of this fantastic place the owners and employees really make you feel welcome. They have concerts and other events, we have not attended any yet but hope to and will update my review then.

The most unique and captivating wine tasting experience we had in Oregon. The cave carries the theme of their Prayer Rock name. The ceilings are covered with Murals of Angels and other biblical characters. There are scriptural quotes throughout. You have to see to believe how exceptional the art is here. It reminded me of what I've seen in pictures of the Great Cathedrals of Europe. I found myself studying the beauty and message of the art like when I saw the great art displayed at the National Museum of Art in Washington D,C. We were at Reustle during the beginning of wine harvest and they were very busy preparing but The Reustle family still assigned someone to take care of us and were very friendly. We were taken to a banquet room in the cave and served the different varietals paired with food that was paired with each one. They were all excellent but we liked the Tempranillo the most. If you like wineries with unique character and personality this one stands out. Inspiring story of their beginnings,too bad the govt. wouldn't allow them to leave their chosen scripture on their corks. A little off the beaten path but beautiful rolling hills of grapevines as you drive in and well worth it.U

Reustle is a beautiful winery with a great wine tasting experience deep in the "cave" and scheduled tastings, wine releases and community events in a concert facility. Additionally, Reustle is receiving national acclaim for their Syrah, Pinot Noir, Viognier and Tempranillo varietals. A must do when you visit Roseburg!
