Very limited open hours. Excellent beautiful buildings but low volume of materials to check out. All the tax moneys was for the properties not materials. Limited computer use time to less than 1 hour per card holder. Some people that work there are not happy and are short with customers. But I have seen customers be rude and disrespectful to employees. The library offers free computer classes and other free classes on interesting topics. These are paid for by a local persons donation.
This new and very modern library has something for everyone. Even though it is known for the traditional literary offerings it also stocks all the recent magazines that contain many new updated events & news.
It's beautiful and a great place to explore, read, be sedentary, or use the computer. The expanded hours were needed and are appreciated. And, it offers other needed services to the community, as well. I recommend that those in Medford who despairingly call it the 'Taj Mahal' should spend more time using it.
What a beautiful library and they recently expanded their hours, floors of books, magazines, periodicals, etc. Wonder place to sit and enjoy the quiet in some lovely rooms.
This modern library has lots of space for reading periodicals, doing work on your computer or browsing the stacks. The childrens' section is excellent. The books of all the county libraries can be ordered on-line and the web site works well.
Great library, and huge selection! The building is very new and modern and located in downtown medford, not much parking though.
Modern library with all the bells and whistles...great staff. Only drawback is some limited hours. Adjacent hallway houses a used bookshop by the Friends of the Library....very good bargains and nice books, funding library programs.
Library has everything you could ask for. Beautifully designed, two floors. My two beefs here is there is only one hour allowed on the computers, where I am used to two hours in CA, and after one hour parking in the lot, you must pay for parking. If you are disabled and use a walking device, I found it is bit of a walk from the parking lot, down the hall to the elevators, and once on the second floor, another walk to the computers Everyone working here has been very helpful.
This library gets a lot of use from residents and students of the local community college. Meeting rooms; computer terminals with free wi-fi; a large periodic reading section; alongside the usual collection of fiction, non-fiction, reference and children's area.
I was pleasantly surprised at the wide selection of young adult literature. Weekend staff in the young adult room was extremely helpful. What a great place to send my kids.
Great library for the literary minded. It is very convenient and close to everything downtown. The library is beautifully maintained and the staff is very helpful.
This is a great outing for kids and adults, big and roomy, comfy chairs to sit and relax, or tables if your doing reserch etc. helpful staff my grand daughter 7 yrs old was looking for a specific author the librarian was so helpful, she showed her where they were and also pointed out some other books she might enjoy. my grandson 5 yrs found some cool books on trucks climbed onto a bean bag chair and loved it.
Once a county library, with big budget. A multi million dollar building that was put up by a levy and tax payers expense, soon to go broke. Volunteers run it today at a minimum budget, It is a beatiful place next to the Rogue Community College. I stop in and browse on occasion. The new wave is no brick and mortar library systems in the world, with Internet and Kindle, I can read all the books in the world in my easy chair at home on my laptop or Kindle Fire. I bought Kindle Fire for all my 6 grandchildren, and of course, they live on the Internet. Us baby boomers are the last of the Library building crowd. Our grand children use the high tech today to give them any information they may want on any subject they can think of... just Google it, and you got it.Bad parking, simply bad parking with the street and collage students everywhere.
