caliente railroad depot

This train station has been used in many movies and has been photographed a lot. Enjoyed photographing it in various moods...rain, sunny,early morning, and evening.

Whether you are keen on railroads or not this little museum is a gem for original relics and memorabilia

the town is very small but cute. the train depot was cool. there are a few ghost towns but difficult to find. driving down hwy 317 is a nice scenic drive and goes all the way around and leads to a dirt road that ultimately brings you back to where you started :-) the two lake refuge was very cool and has free camping and fishing.....but no swimming. didnt get the chance to see ghost towns but looking forward to the next visit

Now used for city offices, the old depot houses a local art gallery & some interesting insights into the area's history.
