whiskey run creek

Every time I come home, I always make a point to stop by Whiskey Run Creek. The tastings are very very reasonably priced and so is the wine. Try to go when they have live music playing outside in the evenings. It is just a fun atmosphere with live music, wine, and great company.

A nice winery in a old barn, wine is excellent too! Staff was very nice - don't forget to tour the Brewery Cave while there!

Took a quick road trip to a small town with big history and a Great Winery! Whiskey Run Creek winery is a small operation by a husband and wife. The property has a restored old barn as the tasting room and store! A waterfall bables in the background while you sit iOn a wooden deck and sip your wine. There is a old cellar where things go back in time. Very well placed on a corner with the vineyard atop to the northwest. Summer sausage,cheease And wine on a cool fall day was wonderfully relaxing. Only a little over and hours drive from Omaha NE or St. Joeseph MO. My bet is my parents will love this place as much as I did!

We spent a Fri. eve. at the winery and sat outside and listened to the $3 Band from KC. The band was excellent. They are great musicians who play a variety of instruments doing some Irish instrumental, folk, blues, a little country and americana type of music. They have a great selection of wines that have surprising flavor for Nebraska, at very reasonable prices. It is a very nice setting to enjoy the wine and listen to some good music.
