a-frame surf shop

Been coming here since 2007 and the shop never disappoints. Easy rental of wetsuits and boards plus a super nice shop with very helpful staff. Easy parking and in walking distance of the beach.

Planned a lesson for two from the UK. Did not expect what we experienced. Pure delight, full of fun and an amazing teacher Eric! Soo pleased we booked here, really friendly staff and great surf!!

I was lucky enough to be in town for larger than average [south] swells thanks to a storm off the coast of Mexico. I've recently gotten back into surfing [2 months ago] after more than a 20 year hiatus so booked a lesson. Sean was great!

I've rented wetsuits and boogie and surf boards from theses guys for several years. Good service, friendly staff and the shop is located very close to a beginner-friendly beach and some good lunch places. Alternatively you can rent some gear here and head down to Rincon for a more challenging venue. They've also got a good selection of tee shirts and beach gear. There's lots of on street parking close to the shop and the beach so this makes for an easy afternoon of body surfing or boogie boarding. The waves here are gentle enough for smaller kids and beginners and they have surf lessons as well. Non surfers can walk the beach down toward Padaro lane..

My wife and I stopped in to A-Frame on a whim. It was just as they opened on a Friday morning and we wanted to get a last minute, same day, beginners surf lesson. Understandably there was no instructor available at such short notice. But the owner came in on his day off and took us out for a great lesson. All that you have read on Trip Advisor and Yelp is true about Rob and his staff. These folks are patient with all kinds of surfers/people and treat people with kindness and respect.I would fly back to A-Frame just for a lesson! Thanks for a great day in the water!
