I've always wanted to see the inside of this theater and yesterday we did. It took me back in time. The seats were very comfy and the distance between each row was great, not like the theaters of today. The sound system was amazing and the smell of popcorn was very tempting but we passed. Great old restored theater!!

Thats from the outside, once inside it is as current as any, happened to catch the Jersey Boys, so for a California child of the sixties it was marvelous.

love this theater........its big and cushy and has good ecoustics.......you do not hear the other theaters when you are watching a movie

This old time downtown movie theatre has great seats and screen. It shows first run films and often has special showings of other films including past favorites. Many special events as well......not to be missed.

This is a Historic Theater that has been revamped for new digital movies and surround sound. The main screen has newer chairs were the arm rests go up and down, while the other screens have older ones. There is popcorn, candy and soda for purchase, and water is available for free, but no nachos. The bathrooms are clean and stocked. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The Prices for movies are reasonable. They do have 3-D movies as well.

The main room of the Del Oro is a beautiful place to watch a movie. Get there early so that you can see the architecture and artwork on the walls and ceilings. It is really a cool place and raises the level of beauty of the experience. Also, its location in downtown Grass Valley makes it a great place to have dinner and watch a movie.

Liked the upgraded stadium seating in the other rooms but the stairs are hard for some. The main theater has great atmosphere and takes me back to when I was younger as this is how all the theaters looked.

Great movies play here. Beautiful vintage theater. Well kept and clean. Love going to this place. Parking around the block across the street.

We didn't use the snack bar but it looked nice and the popcorn was freshly popped. Nice seating. I believe they are going through an upgrade. We saw Guardians of the Galaxy in 3D and it worked great.

This is like the theatres that I went to as a kid in Southern Calif. The new seats are comfy.I need a movie fix!

Not the best theatre, but it is historic. The seats are awful, but the kids summer movies are awesome.

We visited Grass Valley for lunch and a movie. Our movie was showing at the Del Oro. Walking up you can smell the popcorn...yum! The theater is beautifully decorated. We saw a movie at an old theater once and the sound quality was horrible, but that was not the case in this place. It is also conveniently located in downtown Grass Valley near restaurants and shops.

I love our local theatres! This is a neat place that still has some original charm and history but all the comforts of a nice theatre. So happy they have snacks I can still afford!

Love going here to see movies! Never a line, comfy seats, top movies. You will enjoy it. Popcorn is good and service is excellent!

Good sound and picture quality for an older theater. Popcorn and soda are overpriced as usual. Staff is courteous and helpful.
