Was an okay casino, have seen better. Location is a little hard to get to, have to drive up the mountain, don't think would come here again.
Tried to go to the "Fisherman's Wharf" buffet on Saturday night ($30/person). Arrived at 6pm to find the buffet was sold out. Spent a little while in the casino, but the smoking drove us outdoors. I'm an ex-smoker and I was choking. They have a very poor ventilation system for the number of smokers. (Most Vegas casinos I've been in had solved this problem.)
The machines are rather tight at this casino. However, they have really done some major work to make the cigarette smoke disapper so it's not the problem it used to be. The food is mediocre at all the dining establishments there.
Our money did seem to last longer than at most casinos. We camped there and enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and they had a van to take us to the casino.
This casino has gone through some renovations the last few years. Now it has lost it's appeal for me, and I do like to gamble. Now it just seems like another "Las Vegas casino". You just can't seem to win here. That used to be easier, the slots seemed to pay better. I talked to a lot of unhappy people. And the ceilings are so high the place is SO noisy. And so smokey. But, I will probably go back because I like the hotel so much, and of course, hope springs eternal, I might WIN!
since we were here a few years ago, things have changed for the better. The casino seems more open with a nice nonsmoking section, I liked the option of self serve nonalcoholic drinks near that section. We didn't see a lot of new games and most of the nonsmoking section were old slot machine games.

Truly enjoyed myselfbuffet is good too RV park is the bestThe casino games stink - but that is an Indian casino 100 minimum words difficult
The last time I was at this casino was in 2006, I had read about the remodel and how the change was going to be dramatic. It is. It was cramped and dated now sprawling and in the style of the newer casinos. Valet was prompt and polite. The variety of machines was acceptable with a smattering of newer machines. I won on an older game though. Free beverage areas, help yourself although every time I changed games someone was promptly asking if I wanted a drink. Everyone was helpful and nice. Long walk from entrance to restaurants especially buffet. I would return.
The casino at Jackon Rancheria is a very nice place. We have often stopped there on our drive back from the Eastern Sierras to the San Francisco Bay Area. They first have a variety of dining places which works well for us after fishing in the Sierras (Caples Lake) and wanting dinner before completing our drive. We like the buffet and the Cafe and Bakery as our "go to" choices. There is a wide variety of casino games to play.We have also stayed at the lodge there and it is quite nice. The drive in from the highway to the casino is one of the nicest for this type of casino. There is nice grounds, store, gas station, the casino, and lodge. There is a very nice recreational vehicle (RV) park. There is other tribal facilities. In terms of parking, there is a large, but busy, parking garage. Once one finds a place, its relatively easy to get to the casino.Although we have not attended as of yet, there is an entertainment area for shows and concerts.
liked the complementary 2 night hotel room . Was happy my friend hit a few jackpots , that paid all our meals the some ....
Some RV spots claim to be resorts, but don't cover many amenities. Jackson Rancherias RV Resort truly is a resort! Wonderful pool, two jacuzzis, BBQ that can feed the entire resort, running/walking path, large, lush grass areas between level concrete pads, rec room, off-leash dog park, bocce ball court, horseshoe pit, AND putting green. Free shuttle that runs thru the park every 20 mins to take you up to the casino. Also, this place has standards; no junky RVs, no tents. Showers are small, looks like they are mainly for the pool area, but serviceable. Being from NV, we really don't gamble, so can't comment on the casino except for that it looks like a typical casino & the food costs are a bit higher than comparable casinos back home. We came to stay to visit the Jackson/Volcano/Sutter Creek area, and will definitely be staying here again!
Set in the middle of California's Gold Country this casino with its own RV park is quite the place. If you don't have an RV you can enjoy their hotel. The casino is well run and they have a good sized non smoking area of slot machines. The RV park has spacious sites, gorgeous views, and a free shuttle to get to the casino. As others have said, the only negative is the size and quality of the restrooms and showers.
Having travelled through the U.S. for the last 7 weeks this park is by far the nicest, with fully paved and concrete settings and just enough grass between each site for privacy. The staff were lovely offering free popcorn and coffee on arrival. Great pool and shuttle bus to hotel and casino was great. As a woman travelling and using the showers and toilets because we are travelling with another couple, I did find the showers a little lacking with the Middle one water all over the floor and the first one a crack in the base. We have had better, but over all loved his park for the price and the setting a must visit if in the area. Great BBQ area and a club room with open fire for guests which if fully utilised by several of th RV clubs that were visiting the weekend we were there.
Stayed at the most luxurious RV resort that I have ever visited. Reservation staff helped us to get in on a fully booked weekend by watching for cancellations. Facilities are friendly and first class! The casino and restaurants are great. The grounds and architecture were very thoughtfully designed. Even had a drive through RV wash that could accommodate 45 feet of truck and 5th wheel. Stayed for two nights with easy access to CA 88 and 49 for exploring the old Gold Country and Sierras.
