We had the pleasure of staying at Jessie's Grove Winery in our RV as part of the Harvest Hosts program! We were nestled in among the trees in the pasture as all the hustle and bustle of harvest was going on around us! It is in a beautiful location that feels like country, but the city is just minutes away! We visited the tasting room, and were served by Brenda, a great gal and a real kick! Besides their wonderful wine, we also found some "must have" souvenirs in their well stocked gift shop. We took a walk around the winery grounds in the early morning when the dew was still on the leaves, and visited the founder's museum, full of old farm equipment and photos of days gone by. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the goat, roosters and horses that are also residents at Jessie's Grove. There is also a tortoise (but we didn't see him). Everyone was very hospitable and we had a great time!

Andrew presented our wine flight in an appropriate sequence. Laid back so we didn't feel rushed and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. This was our first Lodi winery and "he did a damn, fine job!"

This is a great place to visit. Wine is very good and consistently ranks among the top in the Lodi Appellation. What really makes this place unique is that it is a working farm. Kids love that. It also has been a music venue for years (check out Shane Dwight in August; hart rocking blues man) and for the last 3-4 years, it has hosted a local theater company: Changing Faces. Nothing like watching a play, sipping on some wine, and watching the sun go down. Very proud that Jessie's Grove is a part of the greater Lodi family.

I knew as soon as we pulled in and say the tie-dye t-shirts this would be a neet place. Small friendly tasting room. The folks there could not have been any nicer. We were given a tour of the grounds and the horse with the wild eyes. The wine was good too. I'd add a stop here on any trip to Lodi.

Excellent zinfandel. Interesting photos of the original family that started the winery. We happened to be there on the day they were opening a new vintage, so there was a garden party with free food and DJ's playing Baby Boomer favorites. Nice ambiance.

Another fun Lodi winery to visit. They put on outstanding events at the site. Check out their concerts and wine club events.

Jessie's Grove is along a wine route in Lodi, California. The property has been in the family for generations and you can see many of the vineyards from the road. Their wines are excellent, the ports are amazing, and the grounds are so pretty. They have concerts and events "in the grove" all summer. The tasting room staff is very nice (hi Brenda!) and will make your experience a memorable one. Personal favorites: Earth, Zin, and Fire and their Tokay port.

Brenda was aware of everyone that walked in even when she was talking to us. I enjoyed the chardonay in this charming, rustic cabin like tasting room. We have the pleasure of meeting the head wine guy who explained the grape crushing process he was engaged in. A covered outside area available also. We are planning to have an event on the property.

Often you can visit this property and there is a wedding or photo shoot going on. Personally, my family spends every summer out here, daily, as part of a theater company. The month of July Changing Faces Theater Co. performs fabulous plays that always entertain! Check them out on Facebook! Jessie's Grove also has a concert series each summer. The outdoor stage is so wonderful out in the middle of the beautiful grove of majestic oak trees! There is wine tasting, of course!

Quaint setting, historic property. Nice vitners, easy drinking wines.Liked the idea of summer time concerts and camping on the property, and breakfast in the morning. Donations for food, after cost goes to MAD. Very responsible, and sounds like fun.

Family-owned winery; charming tasting room. Very reasonable tasting & wine prices. Service is friendly & happy to give background on the family's long history of wine-making. Bought a few bottles & really enjoyed them later with friends. Definite must if you're in the area.

Very charming location, pleasant staff, friendly. The winemaker himself made an appearance and gave us a taste of a couple of "members only" wines that were very good. But the wines on the normal tasting were really quite ordinary at best (and sometimes not even that). A friend of mine said she had been there before and been impressed, and based on some of the other reviews, I'm thinking we hit an off day (year), but there are far better places to visit in Lodi. Overall not recommended. $5 tasting fee, refundable with purchase. Some wines not available to non-members, but nothing I tasted here made me want to sign up.

I would have been nice to have tasted the wine. If I wanted that treatment, I would have headed to Napa

We arrived just before closing times but were welcomed and entertained. The wines are just average but the people very friendly. We would try them again next year in hopes the quality of the wine improves.

If you're looking for an example of why people come to the Lodi wine region, then visit this place. It's completely unpretentious, and a working farm and winery! Visit with the winemaker or his wife and sample one of their many excellent selections. I can't imagine anyone would go away disappointed given their fantastic selection, wine quality, wine value, and hospitality. Stick around for a while and enjoy their wonderful picnic area also.
