In Loomis at the Flower Farm Inn. Open for just the weekend. Tasting room is large a little dusty with plenty of room at counter, tables, or outside. We had a friendly young lady and another fellow helping us. They were quick to greet. Mostly aware when we were ready to try the five or six on the tasting. The staff was versed on their wine offerings and could field questions asked.Wine tasting for 5 dollars offered some white and red. Some blends in the mix.Tastings is waived with bottle per person. Wine was good but we elected none this trip as we had already purchased a few before this tasting. Reasonably priced were the wines. Good: wine, beautiful grounds. Bad: far out (worth the drive) I'd come back.

We booked the Flower Farm for my daughters wedding and stopped in for wine tasting after shooting Save the Date photos on site. The wine maker Kevin was behind the counter that day. We are regulars in the Napa Valley and walked in the door with open minds. After asking a few questions Kevin walked us through his philosophy in wine making and how he choose the vineyards he sources from. The wines are most certainly made in French style and after the first glass we eagerly looked forward to the next varietal. Kevin is an artist and it is apparent he has studied his craft intensely.Kevin and his wines are a joy.

This was the final winery I visited on my recent trip to California. My friends were wine club members so I did not pay for the tasting. This winery offers Bordeaux & Rhone style wines that have been produced from the Sierra foothills of California so several different varieties are blended together.Their Petit Sirah is particularly tasty and the owner Kevin, is very informative and knowledgeable about wines and wine making.Worth a visit.

Le Casque Wines Tasting room at the Flower Farm is a great little spot. It's located on the corner of Auburn Folsom road and Horseshoe bar road. Stop to to taste some Bordeaux and Rhone style wines made with grapes from the Sierra Foothills. The've got some nice wines (both red and white), and you can grab a bite to eat at the Flower Farm Cafe Coffee House and sit by the pond while you sip your wine. The owners, Kevin, and Ann, are very friendly and personable. Kevin is extremely knowledgable about wines and wine making.Tasting fees are minimal and you get to try several whites and reds.
