I took my grand children to this place and we had a blast. Lots to keep them busy, and lots of rides for them to enjoy. For all ages.
Visited park terrible customer all kid with no experience of how a business should be ru n. Brought my daughter a teddy bear that got taken in less the 5 minutes went to management told them problem an exactly what happened couldn't get any help all the money this place is taking out of our community and this is the kind of service the render back to our community. Sometimes in business certain problems occurs. Sometime you have to bite the bullet especially if it to put a smile on a kid face. Isn't that what a park like this should be about. I wouldn't recommend this park to anyone " TAKE IT TO KNOTT"
We were visiting over the holidays and the kids wanted to go to Castle Park. We got an online deal for $9.99 per person, which offered a choice of unlimited rides or unlimited miniature golf. We opted for the rides, but were highly disappointed to see that many of the rides were broken. Upon entering the parking lot, it did note that only about 3 rides were down, but once we got there, there were more down than anticipated. We also went to the arcade and a lot of the games were broken, too. Some of the games even ran out of tickets and the help seemed overwhelmed. The machine that you fed your tickets through to exchange for prizes, also broke down and the staff had to keep coming over to fix it. Hopefully they'll take note of the reviews and fix things.
me and my family have been here about five times in the 8+ years we have lived in Riverside county. For starters a large percentage of the arcade games are always broken and rides are always down for whatever reason. If your a minature golf fan that is a positive. I would much rather make the drive elswhere.
Took the 4 grandkids and they had a blast. Went on most of the rides and played around of miniature golf. The food prices are way to high and the funnel cake place was closed. So we didn't eat there. The kids were entertained so that's what matters. Cheaper than going to Disney.
Arrived the day after Thanksgiving. Sign at front entrance said three rides were closed for maintenance, but upon entering the park, we found seven rides not operating and two of the four mini golf courses closed. Apparently, they don't have enough staff, so the operators have to rotate among the rides. Rides periodically lost power and had to wait for engineers. Food shack had one person taking orders and two people preparing food, so line was 40 minutes long. This park desperately needs an overhaul and new management.
This place is about a mile away from where we live. Therefore it's about the closest attraction we have that the kids love. It's no Disney though. The price is decent, unfortunately the times we've gone, there are only a selected few ride operators and some of the rides are closed until the ride operator changes rides. It could use some cleaning as well. I'd have to say those are the only downfalls. The kids love it and at a price you can't beat. Food is a little overpriced, but that's about anywhere now a days. We usually eat heavy before we go, then eat at Farrell's across the street.
I Love Castle Park, it's got all kinds of fun and thrilling rides and attractions at a very reasonable price. Its located in Riverside and they have great food, mini golf and an arcade. In October they get the park all decorated and have Castle Dark, complete with some really creepy mazes! They also have a nice little water park .
Went there with the girls soccer team and they all had a great time. Good value fun and easy to get to. The kids love it which is what it's all about.
I have been going to Castle Park on and off again for over 30 years. I have to say that it is really run down. Golf Course needs to be re-painted and turf replaced. I am handicapped and I was shocked that I had to pay the entrance fee even though I am unable to ride the rides. I was there for my daughter and not for me. We really only wanted to go into the arcade but we still had to pay the entrance fee. The entrance fee is not bad at all if you want to ride the rides. Employees are very young and kind of clueless. My advice to the owners before people stop coming:spend the money on upgrades to the miniature golf course, make anyone under 18 have to be accompanied by an adult, let people enter (especially the handi-capped) and charge per ride like they used to do. Hire and train and re-train the employees on customer service attitudes. I think Castle Park is an asset to Riverside, but it needs improvements now!
My family traveled to So. Cal. last week for a long needed vacation and we had one day to take the kids to a park and decided on Castle Park. I realize we weren't going to get the quality of a place like Disneyland for $16 for the day, but what we got wasn't worth $0.16! Most of the rides weren't open or broken all day. The only two rides for our 2 1/2 year old was the carousel and train---the train was broken. So, we make our way to the Arcade. They have one girl working and so 4 of the games were closed. So, we go to the Water Park. The changing rooms smelled like urine and the place in general was insanitary. So, we leave the Water Park and decide to try the rides again. The cars, the planes, the cups, the log flume, the motorcycles, the helicopters and the carousel---ALL BROKEN!!! Our 2 1/2 year old was actually sitting on the Bunny on the Carousel waiting for it to start when he and his Mom were told to get off because it was broken. So, we decide to get some food. 45 minutes to get Chicken Tenders and the icee machine broke. Also, none of the staff there seems to have been trained on anything. Aside from the fact that they expect one teenager to run 3-4 rides at a time--when they are working---when you ask them a question no one can answer it. Lastly, the bathrooms were overflowing by late afternoon and were either closed or too disgusting to use. I wrote to the owner to ask for a refund. I haven't hear anything yet. Probably won't. Recommendation-----spend the extra money and go to a real amusement park.
First of all, adults and older teens do NOT visit this park. Children under 36 inches won't be able to get on rides--even with an adult. However, typically a three year old child will meet this height requirement and have a BlAsT! There are plenty of rides for these small children to keep them happy for hours! Elementary children also have appropriate rides. pre-teens seem to be unaccompanied but employees are abundant and they monitor them closely. Have a problem? Report it and help will arrive rapidly. There are NO rides for true thrill seekers who should stay home or prepare to be disappointed but ages 3-15 are going to LOVE you for making this experience possible!
I took my brothers here and we went to Buccaneer Cove which is the little water park inside Castle Park. I have to be honest, after reading reviews on here and on Yelp I was apprehensive about coming, but had already purchased my tickets online (10 per person, definitely reasonable). My brothers are 9 and 11, and they had a BLAST. Even myself at 21 enjoyed it very much. Although the water park is not very big, it still has a lot to offer. My only complaint is the staff could be a little friendlier. Some of them were great, but some looked like they were having a miserable time. A little smiling couldn't hurt, especially dealing with kids and families. Overall, it was great and I definitely plan on going back before Summer is over.
Went with family on vacation to play mini golf. One course out of four was working but was not told until we were trying to change over to the only working course. Still left other three open even though they know they are eating balls, no water, faulty equipment. If you go any time late in the evening as it is cooling down do not expect any food stations to be open and do expect to stand in line for a lengthy time even when there is only a few people in the park. Very disappointed. Nothing worse then telling your 9 and 11 year old that we have to leave and not get to play
Worst experience ever!! The only spots available to sit are directly in the sun and who cares if your pregnant..they don't!! They only care if u breast feed. Even being a guest here it is miserable. Rides are constantly shutting down. Not enough staff and no misters throughout the park. Not to mention the swarm of bees you can see right on the wooded area under the log ride before entering the park. So not a good place to be if u get an allergic reaction to a bee sting. They don't have medical supplies to treat you for that either. Read all their rules it states it there. Worst place, over priced food, and rides always breaking or closing down..i have a year pass..NOT WORTH IT!! Not even for the day..go somewhere else! Dont waist your money!!
