We love this place and take our three children every year, it seems like prices keep going up and up every year and having to pay to park seems a little extreme especially when weekends are the only time we as a family are together with work & school schedules.
Parking is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE on the weekends! The pig races were short, but fun. Go early if you want to have a smaller crowd. Enjoyable, but again, the parking was too expensive for one person to pay.
Family friendly good time. I love the apple cidar slushies. The new tickets system is better than the old system.
My husband, 5 year old son and I visited the farm on Sat., Oct. 4th. By far, this year has been our best visit. We have been visiting the farm since 2009. Why has this year been the best? First, we did not wait in looooong lines because we followed the tips offered by Bishop's Pumpkin Farm. Second, there were employees everywhere supervising and making sure everything was running smoothly (including the Coyote Mtn. slides). Third, The improvements to the park are spot on: the diggers in the gravel by the red barn are now in their own fenced off area. Oh, the animal pens are fenced off, which is so much better. The animal area seemed cleaner and not as smelly. I also really like the ticket system. Purchasing them online and picking them up at the farm is the best way to go.Thank you for the improvements and added employees for safety. We had a great time.:-)
We've been taking our family to Bishop's every fall for 20 years. We plan to continue the tradition for years to come.
Boy... Seems like a lot of whining on here. So immature. It's almost as if they're trying to turn people OFF to coming here, but I doubt it'll work! This is a WONDERFUL pumpkin farm, with a LOT to do and enjoy. If you plan ahead budget wise, money isn't an issue. Pumpkins are nicely priced and there a lot to choose from. Even different gourds, which I LOVE. We only spent 40.00 including parking for the 3 of us, is THAT "too much"? No way, not if kids gave a BLAST going. Money should be no object to good parents. Like us :)
The new ticket system is a bit much.I was OK with the Friday parking to pay for the Bathrooms. But your prices almost doubled. I spent so much money it really wasn't worth it. I used to go a few times a week but now that is totally impossible. Makes me miss the old Bishops Pumpkin Farm with out the bathrooms.
I grew up going to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm.... but now while taking my own kids to the farm it has gone way over priced. Seams every year it gets more and more expensive for us to go. I'm sadden by how it has changed.
My grandson went here for a class field trip. My husband and I took our granddaughter the same day. You pay for parking only on the weekends! So our parking was free, we went on a Monday. There is a petting zoo area, where you can purchase food to feed the animals, $2.00.We rode the train, the kids went on the carousel, many times. There is all kind of things for kids to climb on and slide down. A large pumpkin area has huge pumpkins, great for pictures. Food is kinda pricy, hamburger, tri tip sandwich and 2 drinks $38.00. Next time I'll bring my own lunch. They allow that. Plenty of picnic tables with lots of shade. Also, you can buy fudge, cookies, apple cider and pie. They even sell ice cream for the really hot days. Pig races are so fun. Great place to go!
Took my grandsons -- 10 and 12 to this Pumpkin farm didn't know if they were too old and wouldn't enjoy it -- but guess what -- they loved it -- the zip line was a big hit and the corn maze was so much fun -- got lost a couple of times but that was the whole point and part of the fun. We even enjoyed the "pig races" -- who knew -- we'd never seen pigs race. The whole day was a success!
My husband and I visited Bishop's for the first time and had a blast! There is a ton of things to do--corn maze, sunflower labyrinth, train ride, hayrides to the pumpkin patch, zipline, pig races, petting zoo, etc. While there, we enjoyed a corn dog meal. We also had an apple dumpling--yummy! The bakery area smells amazing, even if you don't eat anything it was nice walking by it to enjoy the scent. Everyone working there was very pleasant and happy to be there. And the pumpkins were VERY affordable. We got a nice-sized pumpkin and it was only $6. Plus we took home a gallon of apple cider and a caramel apple. It is definitely worth a visit!
This is by far the best Pumpkin Farm I have been to. The children always have a wonderful time. Riding the train, seeing the animals and listening to Mother Goose. The smells of the bakery enlightens the fun.
This was our first visit to the Bishop Pumpkin farm. Was a great experience for the kids...downside attractions and food are overpriced. Besides that we had fun!
My parents took my kids and I've taken my grandchildren since they were little. It's become a second generation of tradition for my family and every year it gets better and better. My oldest grandchild is now 15 and still looks forward to going to Bishops every year! Oh, and my sister and I still enjoy going, even without our grandkids! Really excited about our trip this year. We already have our tickets for the activities we have planned for our annual visit in October.
I've been taking my kids to this pumpkin farm for years and what fun it is! So much to do and so nice and well done. A charming family business. :)
