滑翔翼飞行场

I have been here a dozen times just to watch the gliders take off and enjoy the serene view of the ocean. Parking is easy and free. If you are feeling adventurous, you can hike down to Black's beach from this area. Worth checking out for an hour or two!

It is cool - but the cost (nearly $200) is too much for an average Joe interested in doing something like this.

Beautiful site, amazing views. Watch the glide folks take off and breeze up and down the coast. Some times of the day there is very little activity, it seems to pick up in the later afternoon. Snack bar on site. Restrooms are portable ones you don't want to use - plan ahead.

The day I showed up this time there were lots of people up in gliders. It was very beautiful and the perfect photo op. There is a spot with a little platform where you can stand right at the ledge, there was a couple getting their picture taken and a man in a glider kept 'dropping in' behind them to bomb their pic. It was pretty cool. I was able to use one of the porto potties this time without being too grossed out, so that was better also.

This could be a local place because it was hard to find and a chance of an out-of-town folks finding this place accidentally is pretty slim. Walking up to the launch area, one could feel the serenity of the place. Must be because of the respect of the activity itself, the scenery, the gentle breeze or the gracefulness of the gliders. They have a snack bar and the kitchen was smelling good and appetizing when I passed by but we already had an early dinner plan.

My husband went for a ride of his life time and couldn't say enoughfun thing to do. The view was awesome.

these people and the gliders are awesome to watch. they take off and land on cliff overlooking the pacific ocean. it makes you want to try it. great place to relax and observe the gliders

My teenage niece and I went last week and it was a first time experience for both of us. What a ball! Both of our instructors were great - no complaints whatsoever. You could tell they were enjoying the ride as much as we were. I would return not only to fly again, but to sit and watch everyone else. Gorgeous setting and a great way to pass some time when you are in that area.

Have been here many times Just for the Amazing view! Parking is easy , just go have a look ! You will be glad you did ~ Oh try different times of day for different seens

A tranquil part of Torrey Pines. It's an amazing experience, watching the daredevil hangliders soar above the beach. Best kept secret is the snack bar with low priced grilled sandwiches, comfortable chairs so one can enjoy the breathtaking views.

It is fascinating to watch. It does take skill to do safely and properly. The kids will love it. You can park free.

This park is amazingly gorgeous! The view is beyond belief. We came on Valentine's Day and were so disappointed that the wind did not cooperate with our plans to watch the gliders. However, the view from the grassy cliffs made it all worthwhile. A MUST DO view!

We enjoyed an afternoon watching all the gliders at Torrey Pines. While none of us actually took part, it was fun to watch and a great place to sit and look at the beautiful scenery.

We stopped by the Gliderport to see the Torrey Pines Golf Course as well as watch truly heroic people jump off a cliff and fly! An awesome sight. If you are touring the area, you really would be impressed by what is going on here as talented hang glider pilots really get it out there! Lessons and two-person flights are available for a fee. Great place!

Perfect hiking and meditation spot! Even though the hills are not high, the rocks and the ocean waves are simply beautiful. The air is fresh along with the ocean waves. I feel stress leaving my body without even trying.
