We enjoyed this beautiful facility and friendly staff. Food was good to great and restrooms very clean
While i've lived in San Jose three times now, until recently I had never visited the HP Pavilion. Fleetwood Mac performed here back in November, and I attended. I was amazed at how good the sound and acoustics were. Often times in a cavernous venue like this, it can be very bad. I'd definitely attend a concert there again.
We were in town and attended a Sharks game. This arena was very nice, but we thought it felt small for an NHL arena. We were able to find decent parking not far from the arena, too. There were several food options inside. We didn't try anything, so I cannot comment on that.
A good venue for sharks games and concerts. Park in the back- park away from the door near the exit- easy to get out to the freeway!
Home of the San Jose Sharks hockey! Good food and good fun! Home of the best hockey fans and not a bad seat in the house.
Attended the Sharks game Dec 20th, Great arena, very clean and organized. Attendants are friendly and helpful. Good food and drinks options
I love coming here to see a San Jose Sharks game. It's an exciting, clean, friendly stadium. Good food all away through great food in the restaurants. Will usually come early and eat downstairs. You need to make a reservation on their phone line and they call you back. I would say the only downfall here is the parking you have to get here early to be able to park in the parking lot and prepared to pay, It's expensive.
OK, sowhen ever we goto sharks games the food is decent and it is relatively easy to get in and get out. I am luck to have friends with tickets etc... Don't go to other hockey games... well afew years ago in Minnesota... and that was rather uneventful.... again... it was a sharks game. So The Shark tank, a good place.... sure the drinks are expensive, but it could be worse!
I love coming to the "Tank" to watch the Sharks, concerts and recreational hockey. In general the staff are thoughtful, helpful and cheerful. I must however complain about the Club level vendor. I mostly have issues with the company that organizes and runs the carving area. How do you run out of bread, pickles and onions by the end of the first period. They must have a really good idea of how many sandwiches they sell on a regular basis, so plan accordingly. Running out of pickles, onions and the like is just plain poor planning. Why not start carving the meat prior to the end of the period and having someone who's job it is just too keep things stocked during all breaks. It is ridiculous especially given all the money you spend for these seats. Get your act together food people!
Best arena in the area. Easy access. Light rail station walking distance. I have been there for San Jose Sharks games, concerts, rodeo. Seating is very comfortable. Not many obstructed views.
Great arena for Sharks games and even better for Sharks playoffs. Average arena for concerts as the sound tends to be bass heavy, boomy, and usually too loud. Reasonable arena for other events.
I came from Arizona to experience a UFC fight at this location and I left impressed. This is by far one of the best arenas I have ever been too with the seating and the prices. I have been to other arenas in the country and none match up the experience I had here.
Entry was fairly quick and easy.Seating was great for a Sharks game. Seats were padded and comfortable in the section we were in (right behind visiting team bench). Not much choice for beer and the food wasn't good.
I went here when the Wings were doing the western swing and out of the 3 arenas in Cali that I went to I loved this one. It is very nice inside and they are a great variety of food as well. The seats are amazing and have a lot of cushion. I have been to a lot of arena's and this one was my favorite over all.
I've been going to the present SAP Center since it was born as the San Jose Arena then evolved into HP Pavilion. To Sharks hockey fans, it's "The Tank" and nothing else. Simply said, this is an outstanding venue. There are few bad seats and they are always indicated as such when you purchase a ticket (obstructed view, etc.). The bowl is steep, affording great views from every angle. Hockey visitors, please note: house rule is "sit back in your seat" so everybody behind you can see. The ushers (Blue Coats) will enforce this during hockey games. Seats are padded and comfortable, even in the nosebleeds. Sound system generally quite good; video system recently updated. Have been to sporting events, ice shows and concerts here. Food and drink is a cut above standard for a place such as this, although a tad pricey. That and the long lines for the (very clean) Ladies Rooms are the only minor complaints. Have been to similar venues around the country and SAP is a stand out.
