The views are dramatic, the sea so blue and far below. Cormorants flying, the sky changing, coloring the sea below. Not to be missed. Very nice informal restaurant, which overlooks the ocean.

The trail is pretty awesome here, lots of switchbacks but beautiful views all around. The hike down is slippery because of all the small rocks. The hike back up is steep and can take your breath away! Reward is a small beach cove below and possibly views of two small waterfalls. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

We were driving up the coast and made a last minute reservation to stay at the hotel too. Didn't regret it. Gorgeous views, great sunrise and sunset. Definitely stop, soak up the scenery and take some photos!

A lot of the fun of driving Highway One is stopping along the way. This is one of the places that you'll want to stop. It's a motel/restaurant/service station/coffee shop/gift shop/nature trail.I haven't stayed at the hotel, but on this trip I noticed it had been extensively remodeled, so I'm thinking that's a good thing. The restaurant is uneven to say the least. I've had some great meals there, but I also have some horror stories. I didn't eat on this visit either, but I chatted with someone who did. They agreed on the uneven thing, but they said it was having a good run right now.What we did do (besides have a potty break) was walk along the nature trail - one of our favorite things to do. The view is jaw dropping. You'll be looking to the North and it is spectacular. It's nice to have something free and quiet to do.

Make sure you stop at one of the vista points along the drive, beatuiful views that go on for miles.

The central coast shore line is absolutely beautiful. Take your time and stop at all the vista points. We actually saw the whales!

Pull over and take some time to soak in the view, scout what is out on the horizon and take some picture perfect photographs (selfies if need be).

This was one of the stops on our drive up coastal highway 1,I'm glad we made the stop,it was really beautiful. Make sure you walk the whole trail around for extra beauty

During the holiday season, remember this destination on a clear day is like visiting Disneyland. Lots of people, overwhelmed restrooms, little to no parking. Plan wisely.

Go here, you will NOT regret it! Plus the view is to die for. How much better can life get? the burger was huge, the fried were nicely seasoned and crispy. They have a gas station and a little market you can purchase a few items (i.e beer!)

We were driving the pacific highway from Monterrey to Santa Barbara and came across this place by default and had a wonderful time.The grounds are just fantastic with a beautiful view point looking out to sea.The car park was full of camper van, bikers.They had a fantastic BBQ and a great country band.Its a must stop for anyone traveling along the highway.

We go as often as possible. It's the gateway to the majestic Big Sur and Carmel Highlands. There is friendly and tasty food service here, and also great music, like Jill Knight. If you like to people watch, this is the place. People from all over the world can be found here enjoying the beautiful northern California air.

We stopped at Ragged Point for a lunch and overlook and were pleasantly surprised by what had to be one of the best views of the coast. We had delicious sandwiches, browsed local crafts and ate overlooking the most beautiful scene. There is also an inn and restaurant with well-kept grounds and a family-style atmosphere. Would return to stay.

Spectacular and magnificent view on the Pacific! Unique and gorgeous place to discover. It is so quiet and peaceful to look at the ocean. I will come back and stay longer because the scenery is unforgettable.
