Spent four beautiful Uncrowded spring beach days in oceanfront beach condo with my grandkids visiting from AZ. 75F with lovely ocean breeze. Close to all OC attractions and a great place for walking and many restaurants in pier area. We saw seals, fish, crabs, sand crabs. The water was clear and the sand was clean. Can't wait to go back.... The spring is definitely a great time to go.... Unlike the very crowded summer months.

We traveled up California's coast on our trip only slightly knowing what we'd see! We came to Newport Beach and were so happy to be there! The town itself is lovely. Each home is an individually designed space. The small area between homes generally had a beautifully gated space. The beaches are broad with very soft sand. The sunsets are amazing. Not a very commercial place which was great! This was a visual treat!

Plenty of sand and well maintained. The bike/walk path is fun for viewing the cute beach cottages. Many of the cottages are rentals.

Love the shops, skating the boardwalk, beach volleyball, and authentic Mexican and Japanese food. I wanted to give 4.5 stars. :)

Newport Beach is very exclusive with multi million dollar homes. Well worth a visit and for dreaming!!

Lovely hotel and great surrounding scenery, Crystal Cove State Park and Kayaking on Back Bay good trips out. Lovely atlantic beaches.

We love going to the beach at Newport. 15th street on weekends is a great spot. Parking in front of the school is free (if you time it just right on Saturday or Sunday mornings).

California i LOVE you and Newport beach is one of the many reasons why i do. Beautiful long wide beaches with a beautiful pristine pacific ocean to go with it. Amazing beach fronted Houses which when i win the lottery ill be buying!!!!! Amazing beach bars and little shops everywhere. It also has a gorgeous pier to show off its amazing beach! Hire a bike and tour this gorgeous town or cycle on the seafront cycle route passed the amazing sea fronted mansions. Or take youre car over on the auto ferry to the beautiful little town of Balboa Island. Newport Beach also has many water excursions which include kayaking and whale watching tours! Just a beautiful place!! Its not as touristy as some other beaches in CA and thats why i love it!

There's plenty to do, from going to Balboa Island or Peninsula, to shopping at two spectacular malls, to eating in great restaurants. Drive the Pacific Coast Hightway or got to a local beach. Plenty to see and do.

Newport beach is wonderful. Expansive beaches and WIDE too which is nice cause you don't feel like you're right on top of each other in the sand. There are parks, playgrounds, walking trails, a few benches, some grassy areas, and running/biking trails too. The pier is nice and the "square" by the pier isn't as touristy as I feared. Yes there are touristy places but there are also some authentic places where locals go. They seem like "hole in the walls" but in fact they have great drinks, friendly service and it seems every place has an "off the menu special" (AKA Blackies has an amazing pickled egg, who knew?)

I love Newport Beach, the shopping ( Fashion Island) The beach, clean city and amazing restaurants. Just a lovely area. So much to do and see! Can not wait to explore it more.

I live next door in Costa Mesa so I do visit often. Many restaurants to choose from nice beaches, public parking just don't go on the 4th of July. NO PARKING. There is no central area. There is Fashion Island an open mall, Balboa Island and peninsula with a few shops and restaurants. Two piers, tour boats and a ferry.

Beautiful , a lot surfing , dog freindly. Big wide beach , it take to walk around , I would suggest time more time to do it!

Just outside LA, Close to Huntington BeachNice Lovely Place to see, can't miss it. very exclusive and what a nice area.

Im surprised by people going gaga over Newport beach. Its really an average beach. I dont think any californian beach will make it to my list of top beaches. You want good beaches in the lower 48 ? go2 miami. You want great beaches in North America, head down to the Caribbean.
