With wide open spaces, large water body and a cafe and a restaurant, This a great place for a walk, jog, boating, rowing, playing ball or just relaxing on a park bench. In short a great place for a family outing. When we went there in the afternoon, rowing teams were practicing in the lake, people were jogging, geese were in abundance and cafe was closed!!A major negetive? NO PETS ALLOWED

Great family park which connects to the San Francisco Bay Trail. Spent a pleasant 3+ hours walking the trail which circles the marshlands and tidal pools in the Mountain View/Moffet Field area of SF Bay. Not the most scenic of places, but plenty of water birds fishing and in flight. The park itself has a public golf course, sailboats for hire and two cafeteria style restaurants, bike trails running through the entire park. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Family and friend picnics abound. Well maintained. Go Mountain View.

Our family took advantage of the extensive walking paths to get some exercise while admiring the geese, hummingbirds and bay. Parking is pretty tight in the middle of the day on the weekend, so you may want to start early. Unfortunately, the house/museum was closed when we were there. Would have loved to see it. There is a public restroom by the main parking lot, as well as a cafe and a marina with rental boats.

We go there once in awhile with kids.. So many options from walk, biking, kite flying, kayaking etc... Good food.. Nice sand pit for kids to play.. Place is so cool that its tough to make kids come back.

This park is quite good and located at a scenic location. The park is filled with runners, walkers, lovers, babies, ducks, fresh breeze and much more. A very beautiful place which should ideally be enjoyed with your significant other. Will get my wife here on my next visit. Water sports are available on the lake and a cafe serves hot beverages next to the lake.

Easy trails and great bay views. Weekends are very popular. Try to avoid the paved trails that allow bikes if you're walking - but if you're riding it's a great place, too. There's a park for young ones.

This park has something for everyone. If you like strolling through a lovely park and enjoying fresh air, this is a great place to do it. If you like riding your bike through a beautiful setting, this is surely the place. I love the sailing lake and the restaurants offer decent food and a wonderful place to sit and enjoy your lunch. There is also Rengstorff house and gardens. The gardens have a beautiful spread of rose bushes, and the house is available for a docent led tour of the house. The house is full of history, and some folks claim that it is haunted by the ghost of Mrs. Rengstorff and her daughter.

The City of Mountain View's shorline park is a fun place to enjoy a nice walk, rent a small boat to go on the lake or enjoy some easy food at the local restaurant. Many walking trails that are by the San Francisco bay shoreline that takes in the local critter and bird habitat. Good place for picknics, kids, biking, and kicking back.

Family oriented park with everything from paddle boating to beautiful paths to walk on by the bay. Great bicycle paths that lead to bike trails that stretch to Palo Alto. Great place to picnic on the grass but watch out for geese droppings.

There is so much to do for most people here. There is a kite flying area, a golf course, a concert venue, a boating lake and you can walk or ride your bike for well over 30 miles on the levees. Some of the levees take you way out into the bay. There are so many types of birds here so take your binoculars and camera and you will have a field day. A really beautiful place and whilst it is busy near the car parking areas you can soon escape the crowds.

You can add the amphitheater and the restaurants and mix in the many trails along with several other interesting sites.

We had a wonderful surprise walking in Shoreline Park, right in the middle of Mountain View. The paths were comfortable and overlooked water. There were boats to rent and places to rest, grab a bite, and enjoy the natural surroundings.

- free parking n entrance- boating options- kite flying area- running trails n biking too- has restrooms, not too great but ok- bird turd..only drawback..smell too- people do picnics here..ok for it due to smell of bird turd at most places, so hunt for a good spot first then you are gold

I always visit this park whenever I go to Sanfrancisco. Blissful, Peaceful & Beautiful is how I would describe this . A true haven for all age groups . Has a plethora of activities to offer besides boating & sailing ! A great place to picnic or just walk alongside squirrels, swans, Sea gulls on well paved paths ! Can sit there for hours just gazing at the lakeIt truly is a charming place !

In the middle of all the industry, is the Shoreline Park, a lovely park, expanse of beach and it provides ample opportunities for boating on all types of crafts for all skill levels. Prices are reasonable.
