fresno chaffee zoo

We just became members of the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. We had a great visit for our sons birthday and are looking forward to the African Safari exhibit opening soon. This is a great place to take your family it's large but not too big that its exhausting. Snack bar has full meals and the seal aquarium exhibit is definitely my favorite!! Can get through it in about 2 1/2 hours, if you go slow 3.

The Chaffee zoo reflects the pride and support of the Fresno community. I have experienced many pleasurable outings there with my family. The leadership of the zoo has been actively improving the facility for years and it really shows. I have visited several of the "big time" zoos across the United States and I would rate Fresno's Chaffee Zoo better than most of them.

The Fresno Chaffee Zoo has come a long way in the 50 years since I was a kid. Most of the exhibits are way more natural. Sea Lion Cove is a big hit. Like the bird show even though it is very heavy on conservation.

Zoo has upgraded over the last few years and it is very nice and enjoyable for guest both young and old

The Fresno Chaffee Zoo is a great place to spend a morning. The animals are waking up and starting to make noises and move around. You can watch the feeding on some of the animals and you can take pictures of all their antics. I go there at least once every 6 months to take pictures of the different animals. There is a good place to eat if you should get hungry and want to continue in the zoo.

We love this zoo. We a have been bringing our granddaughter here sense she was born. It is beautiful and relaxing to stroll around and visit all the animals.

I've visited with my grandchildren and have also gone with a group from my church. Over the years, the Chaffee Zoo has become a first class attraction. The exhibits are well maintained and attractive, the grounds are pleasant and not overcrowded. Special events are held periodically such as Ice Cream Zoofari, special Zoo nights, and other activities. Definitely a family friendly must see whether you're a local or an out of town visitor .

While this is not a big city zoo, it does have a variety of animals and activities to do. Would recommend going to the Zoo.

Beautiful zoo with lots and lots of animals, reptiles,and birds. Highly recommend seeing for yourself...easy walking and lots of fun stuff for kids and adults. Plenty of shade and rest areas along with great refreshments too!

Baby tigers times four, baby orangutan, baby dik dik, baby giraffe, baby kangaroo, a bird show, lots of feeding times and talks about the animals; huge beautiful exhibit for sea lions; new African Savannah opening up 2015 fall; then if you have time there is Story land as well as Playland. Or just walk the surrounding park with tennis courts, playgrounds, skate areas, and an enclosed dog park with adjacent horseshoe pits. lots of bbq pits with tables as well.

This zoo is wonderful and just keeps getting better with new additions. It's in Roeding Park a place where many great Fresno memories have been made. There is Storyland nearby in the park...a lake...a play land...something wonderful for families or dates or just enjoyment of green spaces and wondrous animals.

Very nice clean birthday area, zoo worker very helpful...would definitely recommend a Zoo birthday party. Zoo is in transition but hadn't seen the Sea Lion Cove which was very impressive. Nice job & can't wait to see the next update.

This is a great zoo! Excellent and well maintained exhibits. The Fresno Zoo is currently undergoing a major expansion which will make it even better.A must visit in Fresno.

We were looking for a couple if hours to kill before flying out of Fresno. Had a nice relaxing time strolling through the zoo. Not overcrowded and very laid back. It was a good afternoon!!

Waste of money, no real exotic animals, smallest zoo ever in 15 min your done, would never go again.
