Place is really cool & dogs are welcome!!! Wines are pretty good....but the atmosphere is muchbetter! They always run coupons which is very nice!

We were so impressed! Great atmosphere, friendly staff (Beth was great) and of course delicious wine! We did the tasting and enjoyed each selection. We were celebrating our engagement and had been to a couple other tasting rooms, however Carivintas was the best. We felt as if we were locals enjoying conversation and great wine with friends! Highly recommend!

The winery is centrally located, walking distance from all the stores. The lady at the counter was knowledgeable and kind. She even guided us through all the sommelier lexicon. She takes her time to help, so it's a nice place to start if you are a beginner.In one corner there is a small table and chairs for children, and a chest with lots of games, books and blocks. My kids were busy for almost an hour, till we left. Hurray! It IS POSSIBLE to go wine tasting with a 2 and a 4 year old.The wines were all good. We bought a bottle of white Pinot.Check also Casa Cassara (1607 Mission dr).

I like the the mission behind this label. Have some wine while doing a good cause. The day I was there, 2of the parties brought their dog with them.

I completely recommend this wine bar! The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable on all of their wines. Also, the winery donates a percentage of their proceeds to animal support groups! Every wine bottle has an image of an adopted dog. They even have BOGO coupons for wine tasting. Such a relaxing bar and animal friendly. You can't beat that in Solvang!

I always want to do some wine tasting when I'm in Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley but usually do not get the chance because I most often travel there with my two dogs. This time I made a point of searching for any dog-friendly wineries or tasting rooms. I don't know how I had missed Carivintas on previous trips. This winery not only has great wine but also supports the community by giving donations to non-profit groups, particularly animal rescue. Their Barbera/Tempranillo blend and Merlot are superb. The server was pleasant and knowledgeable, and the patrons were all friendly and sociable. Give this wine-tasting experience a try the next time you're there!

We stopped by as the place is child friendly. Our daughter wanted to catch up on some emails to her friends and we were able to deposit her safely in an armchair while we tried the wines. They are also dog friendly. It's a very nice relaxed place. $10 gets you a taste of five wines. Premium wines are $10 for a taste of three. Although we didn't like all of them, most were good, and two were particularly nice, so we purchased a few bottles. It would be a great place to get out of the heat and hustle and bustle of Solvang and just enjoy a drink.

We have been here several times and have enjoyed it each time! The staff is very friendly, the wines are great and they have a very casual/comfortable atmosphere.
