I went there last year to see a benefit concert for the Cancer Prevention program at St. John's hospital, with P!nk and Friends. I liked that the venue was small and intimate, and the sound was good. The layout was kind of weird in that it didn't flow well. Sometimes felt like an obstacle course to get around. And, it was very crowded which it made it harder. All in all, though, I liked the unique rustic tone and casual atmosphere. Not to mention the concert was awesome.

Had a quick bite to eat before going to the Comedy Store across the street.Standard style house of blues look and vibe.Service was professional and quick.Food was okay---certainly would eat here again but only if no line/no wait and in the neighborhood.Ordered the fish tacos (grilled) and flatbread bbq pizza.

Nice venue, loved the vibe, drinks were good. Went on a Friday night and got there before it got crowded but we ended up buying a table so that didn't really matter. Keep in mind that this is a standing room only place unless you pony up some dough for a table. There was also an upstairs but we stayed downstairs. The only food item we had was spinach dip and when you're hungry and tipsy anything is good. The music is loud but not so loud that you can't have a conversation with your neighbor. Will definitely go back.

My wife and I went to the Sunset House of Blues at 5:30 PM. We discovered that we were evidently too early for music, but we decided to eat dinner in the Crossroads Restaurant. While the staff proved to be very attentive and friendly, the food just did not pass muster for the amount of money that we paid. My order was for blackened salmon, which came with a smear of garlic mashed potatoes and a small cup of green vegetables. This dinner cost $26. My main issue was the blackened salmon entree. What was considered blackening by the restaurant was perhaps only seasoning -- without the surface charring and sharp, hot taste that blackened fish should provide. The salmon was then overcooked. The potatoes and vegetables were "ok", but adding these three items together clearly did not produce a dinner that should have cost this much. Quantities were also pretty small. When we were seated, the waitress went into a sell mode on their appetizer listings. Considering their cost, we demurred. It was a fairly blatant push by the management to pile on to an already overpriced entree menu. So, maybe go for the music, but I'd not recommend the food.,

Saw a band downstairs, Great venue, really unique, plus friendly helpful staff..Only slight grumble the price of a beer but overall its a shame it won't be there too much longer

House of blues was awesome. Foundation room was beautiful. Vibe was amazing. Went for a charity benefit gig and loved every second of it. Great layout to watch the bands perform.

Im dismayed to have read that this location is slated for demolition to make way for another shlock modern, mixed use glass and steel design condo of stunning banality. I wanted to write a review while this icon of west hollywood is still standing. This is the best House of Blues in the chain. Admittedly I'm there more for the double swiss mushroom burger and fries than i am for the live entertainment. Its a fun, festive atmosphere. Great times and great memories.

We attended a night early in the week so had an unknown band but they were excellent. Food and service was great. Highly recommend.

This is a great place to go for Gospel Brunch. The singing is inspirational and lively. Its a good time to rejoice. The food is good too. Service is excellent.

Have visited a number of House of Blues and this is my favorite. It was mentioned that this one may well be demolished which will be hugely sad and an incon missed from Sunset. Enjoyed the food - especially the St Louise Ribs and my partner enjoyed the Cobb Salad. Band was good and as the night wore on the vibe increased. Good destination - hope it doesn't get knocked down or if it does it's replaced with a newer better HOB.

We dined at Crossroads and went to see a show at House of Blues, the food was at Crossroads was awesome. House fo Blues - the band had 80s songs and all the crowd was singing. Great vibe, energy, for people who like loud, live music, big crowds.

Went with group for a birthday celebration. I have to admit, I had initial misgivings but it was an outstanding and memorable time. The buffet was varied and excellent and the show had people on their feet. It was a combination of gospel and old Motown music. I highly recommend the event.

We went to see a concert last night. I got an email a few days before saying if we ate at Crossroads, we could "pass the line". I made reservations and asked for a return call. Got no call. Our res. was 5pm. At 5:05 the door opened. Hostess and server were rude to us and other guests. Staff didn't even show up until 5pm. They were unprepared. Rude waitress took our order and we never saw her again. Food took 45 minutes to arrive and they weren't even crowded. When we got downstairs for the concert, the entire staff was great. Security staff were so polite and nice as was the manager. Love the music, but I will never eat at Crossroads again and will let others know of how bad service was. No one should be treated like we were.

The House of Blues has good food at reasonable prices. I had the grilled chicken, and it was great. However, the best part is the music. We were there on a Monday night. The band was great, and our waitress went up to sing. She has an excellent voice! The atmosphere here is really laid back, and it really is a fun time.

I'd enjoyed HOB in the past for main stage acts in a great intimate setting and decided to join friends for an impromptu Monday night of blues in the Voodoo Lounge and dinner at Crossroads. Glad I did! The act was Chris Mulkey and Deluxe, and they were all really good musicians! While enjoying a draft beer and grilled fish tacos, I got lost in the bluesy grooves of the band and their engaging front man. I highly recommend dropping in to catch the acts on this smaller stage. The sound is loud but just right right for "feeling it." Two hours of a good groove in a laid-back setting was worth the price of dinner and a beer, even the $20 parking fee. Parking on the Strip is pricey, but public lots may save you a little. The House of Blues isn't only for the weekend. Check it out!
