I was there for the safety conference and really enjoed the civic center! The only thing was was pretty difficult was the parking. Otherwise a great place to hold the event!
This was already a good facility, but the new addition by talented architects, Ubl Design Group, has turned it into a world class facility with some much-needed additional space. It's well done and compliments but doesn't overpower the original building. Nice work!
The concert was very good. The parking situation at the Civic Center is terrible. People had to wait outside in the cold because the doors did not open until 7 and there is very limited room inside to wait. The doors could have opened sooner as the workers were standing around waiting until 7. There was plans to build a new center on the north side of town but the city decided not to do this even though the people of the city voted for it.
Traveled to Bismarck this weekend for the Disney Live show with friends and family. I highly recommend the civic center. It was an easy location, great parking and easy signage inside. Had no issues, very clean.
I have been to ND 3 times before this review and ND is the HELLHOLE of America. There is nothing to do here besides eat and drink (I mean for crying out loud I can't even go shoot my gun/bow or drive my car recklessly in the wilderness because its all flat windy grassland. you know.... unless I want to risk killing somebody's cow). The people are the rudest I've met in the entire country. Everything is about 40% more expensive compared to back home. There are tons of bugs. The amount of cute girls is slightly above average, but you won't meet any of them because ND's idea of a local bar is Applebees. There are no nightclubs here either. Which really doesn't bother me, the last time went to one was when I was 20. I've been up the entire west coast, utah, idaho, Colorado, texas, missouri, kentucky, ND (3x), NY, and Florida and I can say without a doubt that this place has the rudest drivers (and people) in the entire country. I cannot recommend any part of ND to anybody.I have traveled over almost the entire country and besides the one girl I used to date from here (not in here, but from here. Maybe that's why she moved?) I have NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT ND. If I were to drop a nuclear bomb on ND or the Middle East, it would be a tough choice.
My family attended the PBR on Saturday June 14th-our 1st PBR. We had no idea what to expect and if it would keep the kids' attention. We were so happy we went! The security staff at the civic center are very professional and are very knowledgable of where things are and the best way to get to concessions, bathrooms, and exits. Bathrooms were all very clean for as many people that were in attendance of this event. Entry was a little congested when we first entered building because people were buying tickets, waiting for others in party, and finding their seat sections. Overall, great facility.
Very organized event with the best volunteers. Everyone was cheerful and helpful. The place was clean and offered some refreshments. I wish they had shirts for sale for the event but I am thinking that is not the Civic Center's choice but the show's choice. They missed out on a lot of revenue.
Always lots of fun events scheduled here! Espically great during the winter months. Plan on visiting again.
My fiancee and I took my nieces to see the Disney Princesses and we had pretty good seats. I really liked the theater. As usual, everything was super overpriced, but that's the name of the game. Overall, it was a great experience and we would go back.
The performances were great but man, this tour represented some kind of a low for the Civic Center. Problems that I've noticed in the past continue to occur: the beer lines are excessive and have no order to them. People could probably spend their whole evening waiting. Crowd control in general isn't a strong suit, good luck getting anywhere quickly because people cram through every door imaginable and nobody attempts to bring order to the situation. New ones also cropped up, namely that security somehow missed a guy that was able to get up on stage during Korn's set and obtain a microphone before private security dragged him off stage. Musicians have been put on trial in Europe for protecting themselves when security failed them, but I didn't think that in a show this size with what you'd think would be an appropriate level of protection this kind of thing could happen over here. The Civic Center needs a serious operational overhaul.
Nice venue with a great central location in the capital city of North Dakota.First concert here and will be back for another classic concert when they come up.Stay at the Ramkota Best Western it is walking distance from the hotel and close to the Kirkwood shopping mall. Many places to eat and drink before and after the concert.
We went here to watch the BisMan Bombshells roller derby team. Check it out! Cheap, fun and family entertainment.
Have been at this venue a few times, good access well layed out bathrooms all over the place, clean and had a good time......
Nice venue - parking is not great. Food options for activities are just fair except those that are catered.
