jamestown reservoir

Jamestown has a true hidden treasure at the Reservoir! We explored the beaches, the water and the Island. Enjoyed sundown at the Island - what a great view!

Spent some time touring here while in Jamestown and found it to be pretty and with multiple scenic views from roads around it. Did not fish it but locals seem to like fishing here.

Looking for birds. Not very good. Pleasant driving around the reservoir. Jamestown is a pretty little town.

I was done with work early and it was a nice day. Jumped in the car and headed for the Dam. Great place to walk. I have be told the fishing is good but didn't have the rod and reel with.

I live about 15 minutes walk from here and if in Jamestown it makes a lovely afternoon with lots of watersports, fishing and green space for picnics.

Really a beautiful location, love the island for a picnic or frisbee golfing. The beach is nice, but the water is kind of dirty--a shower is sort of needed after swimming.

This is a panoramic 3 miles of walking and biking along the reservoir. After a long day in the car, we enjoyed stretching out on the parkway which was not busy at all. There are benches along the way. Also, swimming and fishing at one point along the parkway.

Pretty good boat launching area, easy in and out of the reservoir. On my first cast, a Walleye bites and I start reeling it in. Another crashing hit on my line and, as the Walleye comes closer to the boat, I see a Northern Pike has chomped onto the Walleye and is fighting me for lunch! Just before the Walleye came out of the water, the PIke let go.

Lovely and peaceful in all seasons! I just love taking an evening walk there with my husband.

for north dakota where there aren't a whole lot of lakes or bodies or water, it's nice that jamestown has a little lake for activities. during the summer it's packed full of people boating, skiing, tubing, wakebaording, kneeboarding, jetskiing, and fishing. winter is busy with icefishing as well. there is a nice little beach with bathroom facilities as well as a marina with a snack shop.
