Beautiful trail, not muddy, lovely views around every corner. Adequate trail markers. Would have been nice to have distances marked on the trail markers, so that we knew how much farther to the falls themselves. Very steep stairs at the end.

About a mile round trip. Last couple of blocks is uphill. Can be slippery in the winter months due to rain slick trail. Worth the hike

not very distinguished from other waterfalls. The trail could use a bit of maintenance. There was a downed tree across the trail that hadn't been cleared.

This is a good little walk/hike that most any able-bodied person can do(there are some stairs to climb). The trees are tall and mossy and the waterfall is very pretty. The trail was a bit muddy, but nothing too horrible. Overall a very nice and easy walk through the woods! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Even though my lovely wife was having issues with her joints, she was able to make the short hike to the falls. A beautiful way to get away for a few minutes!

Once you cross the log bridge the trail gets steeper and a little more harrowing, but it is stepped and if you pace yourself you will be glad you did. The falls is a delicate veil. The trail to get there is another world – moss, ferns, big leaf maples and gigantic Sitka spruce – a primeval temperate rain forest. Magical. Date of Visit: 13Oct14

We wanted to get a small hike in before heading back to Seattle on Sunday so we opted for this trail. There are 2 lots near Lake Crescent Lodge where you can park and easily make your way to the trailhead. Most of the trail is a very easy walk for even unexperienced hikers BUT be warned, that the last little bit to actually get to see the Falls does involve a LOT of stairs! The hike it very pretty- has the super green moss-covered trees and fern covered forest floor and a couple of bridges, and of course, the waterfall at the end :) I thought the waterfall was pretty and worth the short hike however it wasnt something id probably do again. Im more a fan of the more strong, powerful falls myself but if you like the tall, more whispy ones falling a long distance, than youll definitely like it. If we'd had more time we wouldve gone to Sul Duc Falls which seems to be more my style.But like i said, for the realitive ease and length of the hike it was a nice trail!

A beautiful walk like being in fairyland. You almost expect to see trolls and fairies on the walk. You are rewarded at the end with a beautiful waterfall.

The falls are close by to the Lake Crescent Lodge. Coming in from Hwy 101, the Lodge is to the left and the falls to the right. There's a good sized parking area for the falls, with the trailhead just to the left of the Ranger station. There's a sign at the beginning that says the falls are 1.5 mi roundtrip and to allow 1.5 hrs. I spoke to 2 other hikers on the trail. We all agreed the hike is easily done in 45 minutes. There's little elevation gain until the last relatively brief stretch. At that point, there are some stairs on the trail that you ascend to the top. You then descend to a lower viewing area before looping around back to the main trail. (Tip: If it's not crowded with people returning on the loop trail, you can bypass climbing the stairs and just head to the lower viewing point. You do this by turning left where you see the sign that says Falls Loop.)

It takes about 30 minutes to reach the falls, and the view is well worth it. The trail is very easy except for the last 200 yards or so. That part is steep but essentially like walking on stairs.

My 23year old daughter and I were having a brief stay on the Olympic peninsula . We stayed overnight at Port Angeles with a plan to go to Hurricane Ridge. I have been there before, when it was closed in by fog and hoped for better luck this time. Alas, fog again! Made a last minute decision to go back to Lake Crescent and Marymere Falls. The Falls are a return trip. Estimates were for 1 and a half hours return trip. This is a very generous estimate and we took nowhere near that long. After having seen beautiful waterfalls here in Queensland and also in the Canadian Rockies, the Marymere Falls are nothing to write home about. But the walk is very representative of the Olympic Peninsula landscape and was quite enjoyable.

This trail starts out so beautiful winding through old growth forest - BEAUTIFUL!!! Near the falls you start to climb upwards to reach deck for closeup views. This trail is not to be missed and we will be back.

Great hike!! Beautiful view of the waterfall. Easy for kids. Be careful and watch for signs or you may end up on the wrong trail

Nice hike, easy. Falls were pretty, nice river and wooden bridge to cross. Little river area that is nice for a picnic or to sit and relax.

The hike is about 3 miles round trip. I would rate the hike as moderate to strenous. It is truly worth the effort. Simply take your time and enjoy the many terrific views.
