I helped put this workshop on and I'm sorry this person didn't seem to comment on the entire 4 session experience. Each session was different and taught by a different instructor-the first 2 sessions were lectures, then a photo shoot, then a critique. According to survey results, most participants found the workshop useful and enjoyable.

Took a photo class and the man was really creepy. Bragged about himself alot afterwards. Would not attend anything there again.

Please check the local newspaper and websites before visiting. Recent high water in the Dungeness River destroyed a section of the western side of the bridge and the Audubon Center was temporarily closed. The Olympic Discovery Trail has been detoured until the bridge can be repaired. Great place to visit but may not be open.

This is a favorite location to go and see what is happening at the center. May activities are held here and of course there is the river and the railroad bridge. The Dungeness river flows from the mountains to the Strait of Juan de Fuca and is adjacent to the Center. This is the place to clear your mind and enjoy the sounds of a river which has many personalities. Sometimes it is a babbling brook and at other times it is a raging river. No matter the mood this is a good place to reflect on issues, tale to friends or visit an exhibition at the center. The Center is also on the the Discovery Trail and makes a nice place to stop and eat your sack lunch or use the facilities.

Great variety of local animals and birds. However presentations included lots of taxidermy, not my favorite form of presentation.

Really enjoyed our visit here walking around the railroad bridge and river. There are great bike trails. The museum is very interesting and the folks that work there are quite helpful and informative. We will definitely go back again.

Free Bird-Walk every Wednesday morning. And it was completely different. Very welcoming of novice birders. Learned a lot and had a great time.

This little center has indigenous bird displays that are quite interesting. The little Railroad Bridge and park are really beautiful. A nice restful stop.

Our friends were involved with the development of this center and we are annual contributors even though we do not live in WA. We revisited it with our friend on a beautiful August afternoon and there were many families enjoying it. I am not sure it is visited by tourists; it appears to be a well used local attraction, a little off the beater track but an nice place to spend an hour or two.

This huge area right outside of the retirement town of Sequim in Washington is a sight for sore eyes. The trail leads from an old railroad bridge and goes on and on, paved all the way, so great for biking and walking. It probably has other cool things, too, but for me the information center was the best. Talk about taxidermy! Every kind of bird you could possibly imagine was stuffed, and stuffed into every nook and cranny, from a bald eagle to a teensy hummingbird. Not only that, there were gophers, mice, bears, mountain lions. The only thing missing was a sasquatch, and I asked!

if you are into taxidermy this is your place. A couple of hundred taxidermised birds, rodents, etc. Right adjacent to train tressel on the Discovery Trail. A must see.

Located on the paved Dungeness Trail, you can spend some time in the Autobon Center, where there are lots of things to see before you take off for a walk or ride on the trail. Located on the Dungeness River, you may see salmon headed upstream, or as we did, a beaver in the water as well as a river otter. Kids will like playing on the banks of the river, tossing rocks or waking the trail as well. The Train can be busy with bikes and walkers so arrive early.

We had a couple of hours before sunset and this was close to town, so we decided to see it. The Center is a very nice interpretive center & gift store, next to the Railroad Bridge natural area. We enjoyed walking over the bridge, the natural beauty of the setting and watching the river and forest below and around us for birds. A beautiful afternoon walk.

THe Audobon Center sits along the Dungeness River and the Olympic trail - so you can see the center, spend some time on the old railroad bridge looking for salmon, and also hike/bike the Olympic trail all from the same location. A very peaceful setting.
