This is a cute little place to visit with the nicest people ever! Taste their wonderful red wines and learn a little about the history of our area. Beautiful tasting room and great wine!
We discovered Cultura years ago, when they made wine under the name Christopher Cellars. They make great red varietals and blends, and the tasting room is warm and welcoming any time of year, thanks to barn doors that open up on warm days, and the wood stove to keep it cozy during the winter. Owners/winemakers Tad and Sarah are always happy to talk wine at any level, making both the novice and the experienced feel welcome. We never pass through the valley without stopping by for a tasting and a chat.
This was the best stop on our wine tour. The owner was there to greet us and gave us a tour and a small lesson in wine making. While familiar with beer making, it was fun to learn about wine and how each little thing can affect it.
A very cool rustic barn tasting room. The owner is a friendly guy who is happy to chat while you taste. A nice visit.
This place was awesome. The red wine was absolutely delicious and the owners were so friendly and personable. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I have been to Cultura Winery in Yakima Valley multiple times. This boutique winery offers excellent wines including Bordeaux style reds, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. In addition Cultura provides a friendly, inviting atmosphere and two extremely knowledgable owners: Tad and Sarah. Tad and Sarah happily answer all of our wine related questions and are always fun to speak with. One of our favorite wines is the delicious Cabernet Franc. We always look forward to tasting their new vintages and enjoying the outdoor patio. Cultura is one of our favorite wineries in Washington State.
If you enjoy small lot Bordeaux style reds, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, that reflect the Yakima Valley terroir, where temperature-driven growing conditions are often compared to France, you will love Cultura Winery. You will enjoy not only the wine, but the intimacy of talking with the owners, as well as, the good life of the Zillah countryside. Good wine, good people, good times!
We had a great experience with the owner and we enjoyed their fantastic wines. The Cabernet Franc and the blends we tried were our favorites and they set the bar for the wines on our Eastern Washington vacation. Super-inviting tasting room, great attention, and they have a great story. You'll be glad that you stopped here.
A tiny, relatively young winery, making amazing wines. Of several stops over three days in the Yakima wine area, this was the highlight. The wine maker seemed genuinely to enjoy talking about the wines and winemaking, so the conversation was as enjoyable as the wine itself. The pure merlot and cabernet franc were both revelatory experiences of what those grapes can be, and the Chronos and Kairos blends were each distinctive and delicious in different ways.
We were at Cultura during Memorial Day Weekend and loved their wines. The people were very nice and knowledgable. The wines were on the pricey end for the Valley but well worth it. It's a cute tasting room. Don't miss!
Cultura has by far the best reds I have tasted in the Zillah area. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable about the wine, and always there with a smile. I appreciate their down to earth attitude. They seem to be having a great time making wine, which makes a tasting experience all the better. First rate reds--hands down the best place to wine taste in Zillah.
Fantastic place. Fun Owners. A speciality of red wines. All fantastic. We settled on the Cabernet Sauvignon 2009. You will have to make your own choice. A definite stop. Very classy place.
After two days in Prosser and Red Mountain, my wife and I both agreed that Cultura was the real gem of the visit. Their Cab Franc and Cab Franc blend were both wines of the trip for us.
Enjoyed our tasting at Cultura. Lots of delicious reds! Pretty tasting room. Great, friendly service.
Nice little winery, just getting started so wines are young but have potential.
