My wife and I have been attending Centrum events for years. The chamber music festival and the blues festival are my favorites. Our most recent event was this year's gala fundraiser and auction. This is a wonderful way to participate in funding Centrum, which is a big part of the cultural soul of Port Townsend.

Love, love, love being able to walk around the Fort Worden campus and hear musicians playing their instruments and singing, all summer long. The concerts and dances are always great. Keep up the good work Centrum!

An amazing annual event for a very worthy community project that has international reaches and implications for the arts and culture.

Summer in Port Townsend is an unending series of festivals and special events. Centrum is a main part of the calendar with their summer music workshops followed by performance weekends. We've been here a few years and loved the jazz performances in the clubs (particularly great at the now-closed Upstage). This was our first year to the Blues at the Clubs and WOW!!! We will never miss this one again! Lucked out and got a front row table at the Public House after a first set ended. Many of the venues were very crowded this year, so it may be a better idea to go and have DINNER at the location where you want to be for the first set. There were 3 separate shows. Our first stop was at the Cellar Door which was very crowded…we sat on a back bench for 1/2 of the performance before going to the Public House for the rest of the evening.

Wonderful Blues artists come to Port Townsend to teach classes at Centrum and spread the wealth of music and blues throughout the community.

I've been going up to Fort Worden (Pt. Townsend, Washington) for the Centrum Writers Conference for about 20 years. The location could not be improved on: beautiful old white houses like a Hopper painting, Puget Sound just outside your dorm window. Great people, many of whom have come for years and always a generous helping of new young people to liven things up. The camaraderie is amazing -- 150 or so people who share so much -- all writers -- all lovers of good writing. Ten days and nights of heaven. The food in the cafeteria was very good, the weather absolutely perfect. Jordan Hartt and Erin Bilieu work to bring the best teachers and the most fun to the Fort every year. LOVE!

If you ever have a chance to see any of the Centrum events in PT , don't miss it . In June , July , August they put on outstanding performances of world famous musicians from all over the world . Check their website for dates and times >> centrum.org .I went last night and was just blown away , as I was last year . The musicians are the top in their specific expertise and take you to a different world as they play their tunes . The venue is in an old WWII blimp hangar that has been transformed into a first class music venue ...A+ .You can see just voice works..acapella . (blow you away with what people can do just with their voices) . Jazz ...acoustic and full band performances . This is cutting edge stuff ...it will kick your butt! Look at all of their dates and times and pick something to see ...you will not be disappointed . Price is $25-$30 per performance or their is a package price for a weekend . You can camp there, motor home or trailer there , stay in elegant Victorian B&B , or stay in motels. This is a beautiful venue on beautiful 400 acre grounds of old Fort Worden . A wonderful fun town for a quick weekend getaway .

Excellent setting. Easy in and out. Very poorly organized concerts. Surprisingly poor performances. Exceedingly overpriced and overhyped.

Everything that Centrum does is done right. I have participated in several music workshops and the instructors and experience overall are always wonderful. Additionally, I have attended many performances of various types of music and was always pleased. There are a couple of venues used for different performances and at different times of year. You can trust Centrum for a high-quality experience.

Attended several concerts as part of Centrum Jazz Port Townsend. Interesting venue - a blimp hanger. You'd expect sound problems in a venue like that but, while not being the absolute best, the sound was very good - totally acceptable. I heard two tremendous sets, performed by world class musicians.

Our 2nd year for our son at the jazz camp. Top notch faculty musicians work individually, in combo settings, and as bigger bands with the kids, (mostly high school and college age as requires an audition). Bonus for parents then is the numerous live jazz performances both by the kids but also by the professionals. Requires tickets for all performances at Fort Worden as well as in town at the various venues. Regardless of your genre, they have it all.

We attended a "Fiddle Tunes" concert on the 4th of July. Sound was wonderful! There are almost no bad seats, oven the least expensive off to the side, though our off-center seats in CC were exceptionally good.

This was an intoxicating event! Filled with amazingly talented women - I will DEFINITELY be seeking to attend more events provided by Centrum!

Keep it up Centrum. Fort Worden is a great place and Centrum music events are perfect here. Summer is best, but the music is wonderful.

Had a great time at the festival. Well worth the price for the afternoon show. Had hoped performers would play more than two numbers but then there were so many super performers it was fine! Could see and hear well. Do recommend the more pricey seats as mine was wonderful.
