snow camp historic site

Snow Camp is a historic village settled by the Quakers in 1749. Lord Cornwallis camped here after the Battle of Gilford Courthouse in 1781. You can see old buildings and artifacts as you walk around. They even have a picnic area so bring some food and make a day of it. It's definitely worth a visit. You may even want to check the schedule to see their production of "The Sword of Peace" about the Revolutionary War at their outdoor theater.
