yadkin cultural arts center

Foe the size of this small town I would have to say they didn't do a bad job with the Arts center but they could have done better. I deffinately think the could have used the space that the restaurant is in for more art things and displays. The food there is not very good anyway.

Design & Third Branch Café inside...The center is a renovated car dealership & garage....character mixed with modern day design. Speciality shops offer art pieces & other crafts.

The Willingham Theater is an integral part of the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center facility. Offering movies, music, and live theatrical performances, it without a doubt a jewel in the crown of the center.

We attended the opening night of "Smoke on the Mountain" at the Willingham Theater in Yadkinville. The theater was beautiful, the seating was very comfortable, and the play was extremely enjoyable. We read about dining opportunities prior to performances at The Third Branch Cafe' located inside the theater building and regret we did not make reservations to do so. We peeked inside, and it was packed with patrons, and a live band was performing. We live in Forsyth County and the facility and performance was well-worth the drive to Yadkin County. While there, we purchased tickets for the upcoming April performance of the UNC School of the Arts Jazz Ensemble: Swing Era Extravaganza! We regularly attend plays and concerts in the Forsyth County area and will definitely make the drive to this beautiful facility again! (Sidenote: Only one little complaint - the theater was sold out/packed with people, and it was very stuffy inside. Employees made several trips during the performance to the thermostat, but nothing seemed to help. Next time, flip the switch to the fan to at least move the air around!)
