the bog garden at benjamin park

This is a bog garden, so it's a bit swampy with lots of undergrowth. It's nice for a stroll, and very different from most formal, tidy public gardens. It seems so far away from the city when you are in it, but is very centrally located. Nice for an afternoon walk.

but if you would like a nice walk around a wooded park complete with a small waterfall and a lake with ducks it is worth it. It is right across the street from another garden attraction (can't remember the name). And it is free!

This is one of my favorite spots to pop in and take a break. Right in the heart of prime time shopping at Friendly Center. The ducks and geese are eager to be fed and the walk on the elevated deck is a plus. There is also the man made waterfall on the north side that is calming to the nerves.

This place is so beautiful peaceful and quite ! Great for a walk or just to get away from the city for an hour or so. The gardens are very clean and the raised boardwalks are nice and wide. You can miss the entrance if you don't know what you are looking for. I actually parked at Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden and walked to the Bog Garden. Overall nice place and I'd like to visit again in the Spring And Fall.

This is my favorite place in all of Greensboro. In the middle of a bustling city, you’re immediately transported to a serene getaway in a lush forest. This place is absolutely amazing!There are a variety of trails to walk on and the gardens are small enough that even those possessing very little athletic ability are able to see everything they have to offer. The trails vary from dirt to boardwalk and offer a variety of views. The space is absolutely brimming with wildlife and we came within feet of ducks, hummingbirds, squirrels and much more. The overlook on the lake was very peaceful and the blue heron was a stunning sight. The girls loved the exploring aspect to the gardens. They loved picking trails and seeing how they connected and where they would end up. The waterfall is such a nice area and probably the highlight of the trip for them.We weren’t fortunate enough to see the owls on this visit, but this is place we plan to frequent as it is such a relaxing retreat from the city. Anytime we have out of town visitors, this is the first place that we suggest for a visit and everyone we’ve brought here has loved this place as much as we do.

Walkways are elevated and wander thru the bog gardens. Located next to Tanger Garden both could be seen together. Great Bird watching with the highlight being the Owls.

If it is a nice day, it would be worth it to stop by The Bog Garden. Just don't go expecting miles of trails, and you should be pleasantly surprised. It is very beautiful and peaceful, and I got some of the best photos I have ever taken.

Greensboro has done an excellent job in their Parks dept. We have a wide variety of parks available throughout the city.

What a beautiful area to hike, contemplate, take pictures...We went in the evening and would have liked to stay longer, it is breathtakingly beautiful! Will go back on our next visit to Greensboro, for sure!

There' no parking lot and only one sign by the path going in off Hobbs Road turn onto Starmount and park there.We only found it by asking and then coming over from Tanger Family Garden a more obvious find with clearly visible parking lot and visitors building.The Bog is just a few miles easily covered in less than an hour or so. Mostly flat and much on board walks. Doing both the Tanger Garden and the bog made this a worthwhile outing

The Bog Garden is a wetland in the city...interesting and worthwhile. Just don't expect to get a workout here...it is small but attractive given its location next to a shopping center.

Based on the picture and reviews, I was expecting more. It's a small trail by a little lake, but it was a pleasant walk. I don't like that you can see the cars rushing by.

This garden is an amazing display of nature. Walk around on the wood pathways, over creeks and surrounded by gorgeous trees. Spot owls and an array of colorful birds. sit and take it all in once you reach the lake. It is gorgeous every season, but fall...oh fall is breathtaking!

Lovely place to walk with shade in summertime and Gso Beautiful does a great job of maintaining. Nice waterfall too.
