giant van gogh painting

We stayed in Goodland on our way to CO. So glad we stopped here! We thoroughly enjoyed this painting! Pictures can't do it justice.

The largest Van Gogh beats the largest ball of twine. A clean little stop that is good for about a 20 minute break. The digital display was broken at the time but I don't think it was needed anyways.

This is off of Highway 24 and not off the I-70 Out of the way and really wasn't work the trip. Big deal an extra large easel with a painting on it

I rated this high because simply it is free and only takes you minutes to do. If your stopping here any way it will only delay you 15 minutes max. Located on the business loop right of the highway.

This was a quick trip off the highway and very easy to find. There's not much shade around though so on a hot day you probably don't want to spend a lot of time there. i was not aware of the Van Gogh painting around in the nearby parks. Also a quick note. If you want gas take the first exit (when traveling east). To get back on the highway we took the road which basically brought us to the next exit however there were not any gas stations on that road.

Take a stroll around to the parks each one, has a small van go painting kind of fun to find them. The parks are clean and we'll maintained. Gray for s family or friend get together for a picnic or play date

This is just always a treat to see. You can drive over and view the painting from a pull off that has handy parking. The stretch from Denver to eastern Kansas on I70 can become tedious. What a good idea this little town has. I always enjoy going over and seeing it!

WOW! That's a big painting! If you are staying in Goodland, KS (or just driving through on I-70 and need a break) stop by and see the Giant van Gogh Painting. We got a kick out of it - it was more impressive than I expected it to be :-)

While trying to get to main street we stumbled on this giant painting in Goodland, Kansas that pretty much stops you in your tracks. In the middle of nowhere is this giant painting high in the air. A sight to see if in western Kansas on I-70.

Just an odd road side stop, just off of I-70. Small town of Goodland, KS is known for this easel and a replica of Van Gogh's sunflowers painting (with their own touch). There is a small parking lot, a brief history of how the easel came about, and maintained. The walkway is a wobbly brick sidewalk or grass and bricks underneath the painting

Pretty much just what you expect. I'm glad we drove out to see it. It was a little hard to find; I finally just asked a woman getting out of her car where it was.

If you like Van Gogh, you'd like this enormous painting in Goodland, KS. Worth taking more than a picture or two, from up close, to near the road. This is the ultimate honor a painter can have. Too bad there's not enough propaganda for people to go more often. Other than this huge Big Easel, not a whole lot more in town, but this alone, along with the sunflowers around, is worth a stop.

Very easy to get to from I-70 going east or west. This is one BIG painting!! It takes just a few minutes to get to and it's quite the site. It was pouring, I mean pouring down rain the day I was there, but, it is so large that I was able to take quite a few decent pictures from the car. I am sure it's even better when the weather is in full cooperation. It is a great chance to get out and stretch your legs and let the kids or dog relax. You can walk all the way to and around it and there are photo ops all over, as it is set up in a small, clean park. It is well worth the little side trip on your way east or west on I-70!

Situated on a main road, easy to find. We came upon it by happenstance. It is a pretty diversion, but wouldn't go out of my way. Looks just like the photos.

My niece and I are both Van Gogh fans so this was a great little diversion from the monotony of the Kansas interstate. It's enormous and is just off the highway so it doesn't take much time. We enjoyed it.
