Yes this beach has a perfect crescent shape ringed by Palm trees and yes the restrict the surrounding buildings to be two stories tall or less and so they don't distract from the beautiful and yes there are big sea turtles a plenty but most of all it has the softest mood enhancing sand in the world. A beautiful small beach that is my favorite in the islands
Great beach with great snorkeling and boarding opportunities. Fish and turtles. It does get busy there on stellar days. Get there early to get a good spot on the beach. Felt like a mini Waikiki somedays with how crowded it was. Definitely couldnt have skim boarded without crashing into someone.
Napili Bay beach sand can come and go with the storms. It's my favorite medium intensity beach and my go to with friends for a casual day. The restaurant right on the point with a bar is awesome to just walk into whenever the cooler runs out or you want some great food and the waves can be really fun (be careful for shore break, many people have been paralyzed in Hawaii and this can have a big shore break). The snorkeling is better at Kapalua or Black Rock but for swimming and sunbathing while hanging out with friends this is a great beach. If you are looking for cliff jumping or going topless you won't find either here. Just go down the street a mile to Dragon's Teeth cliff for that. Napili Bay is for families and friends. Great spot. Highly recommend.
A beautiful beach to swim and snorkel with a turtle or two smile. What a nice place to swim, soak up the sun, watch the white bird munch on geckos. This was tremendous.
There is a walkway along The Sea House Restaurant, which you can see turtles from and watch amazing sunsets. Tip: take your own towels, beverages and snacks/food if spending time on the beach. The onsite hotel does not sell any food/drinks, etc. to non-registered hotel guests from their beach bar hut, nor can you use/rent amenities. You can eat/drink @ Sea House, which has very good food/drinks.
The beach is a crescent shape allowing for light waves, There are a lot of fish and green sea turtles that hang out around this area. There is easy access to the water. It is a beautiful place to see the sunset. The sun goes down right off the tip of Lanai.
I could sit there all day. I rented a chair for $5 and just watched all the people get beat up by the waves crashing and knocking them down. I laughed so hard at them. They were having fun. My husband was snorkeling and he had trouble getting in the water too, but once he got in he had a great time and took pictures with his underwater camera. Turtles are usually there around the rocks and you can watch them. Lots of people were over there photographing them. It was a great beach.
Great beach with outstanding viewsLiked beach and Seahouse and Gazebo restaurants. Also, the easy of access from Napili Shores.
This is a great beach and bay with a sandy bottom and a little reef action for snorkeling. A couple turtles spend their time in the right side of the bay and can be seen quite often.Good paddle boarding spot with rental shops just above the condos.
We visited Napili beach on a day the surf was pretty strong - the waves knocked my husband and oldest son over more than once. It was too rough to be good for snorkeling that day, but it was great for boogie boarding. As other reviewers have noted, the beach is sloped and pretty steep in parts. That can also make it challenging to find a place to park your stuff or sit - between the steepness and the water coming up pretty high onto the beach, it seemed most people were crowded up against the bushes that separated the condos/hotels from the beach. One other major challenge is parking. If you are not staying nearby you'll want to get there early to try to find a spot on the street. We ended up parking about a 5 minute walk away at the top of the hill. It is a beautiful place though, and well worth visiting.
Great snorkeling off to the right and in the center reef, awesome paddleboarding out past the break, perfect place for a swim or relaxing on the beach. Very picturesque.
We love this show and go every year for the dinner at the Sea Horse restaurant followed by a brilliant show. It is a real piece of Hawaii.
My wife and I have a division of labor - I like to snorkel and scuba, she likes to sit in the shade and sip tropical drinks. Napili Beach is the perfect place to do both.
Especially now that our boys are older, we love Napili Beach. The boogie boarding is fantastic. The beach is a little steep for smaller kiddos, unless you stay to the sides of the bay. There is good snorkeling, especially by the Sea House Restaurant side of the bay. We often see turtles on the other side of the beach. It is a small beach and can get crowded during the weekends, but it is worth it. Unless you are staying in the area, parking can be a problem. If the water is too rough for snorkeling, it is a short walk to a protected bay with loads of turtles and lots of ocean life.
Napili is a hidden gem in the Western part of Maui and the beach is great for snorkeling, beaching, and having fun. Warm ocean water in February seems heavenly. Maui is the best
