I've seen the sign for the LACS many times while traveling on I-43. My husband's descendants were from Luxembourg so we decided to stop. The receptionist was friendly and her pride in the Society and the museum were evident. The museum is small but well done. It thoroughly explains the past and present of this small but charming country. It really made me want to travel there. The LACS also has THE most comprehensive genealogical information on Luxembourgian immigrants than anywhere in the US. My husband worked with Michelle, the Society archivist, and was able to find his paternal ancestors back to 1680! It was awesome! My husband was really into it and Michelle was a wizard. We were able to make copies of documents we can share with other family members and Michelle helped us start a family tree. We had a great day. Worth a stop for sure!

The Luxembourg American Cultural Museum is an unbelievable treasure to behold in the tiny town of Belgium, Wisconsin. It is full of stories that capture the heart and mind. It's definitely a treasure to enrich the lives of those who love history and culture and the lessons learned from both. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon well spent at this small but impressive museum. Hope you get a chance to experience and enjoy as well.

After spending Saturday at the festival we went to the cultural center/museum in the afternoon. There is a lot to see and the docent lead tour was very informative. Unfortunately, it was near closing time, we were very tired and didn't get to see and explore everything. I learned so much about my birthplace Luxembourg, and will return to spend more time there.

I heard about this place and was intrigued by how a little country like Luxembourg could merit a museum in rural WI. It's full of photos and stories about the ties between the local region and the country of Luxembourg. Not really a kid friendly place, but an adult would enjoy the docent led tours and all the stories you can read. They have a permanent exhibit as well as some that change. Very small but quite nice. Don't miss the gardens. We went out to the pond and saw a family of geese. Well done.
