Fresh cheese curds at half the price from the same brand sold in the grocery stores in MN. Pays to get them direct from the Creamery if you are near Ellsworth. For us, it was about a 50 mile drive, but a fun day trip to WI topped off with fresh cheese curds! Who could complain about that?

This little town is famous for its cheese curds. Known as the "cheese curd capital of Wisconsin", that more than likely makes it the Cheese Curd Capital of the United States. The Ellsworth Cooperative creamery is THE place to go for the best cheese curds. Get the fresh ones that are room temperature if you can. It's not a huge store, but is usually very busy. They have a wide variety of flavors of curds. Plenty of other cheese items to select from as well. Ice cream, wine, and gifts to choose from as well. Stop in and make sure to pick up a fresh bag and enjoy the squeaky goodness of Ellsworth Cheese Curds.

Every restaurant in eastern MN or Western WI that serves great cheese curds gets them from Ellsworth Creamery. A quick drive to Ellsworth gets you Fresh Curds...$4 for a pound. Well worth a drive through the country. Plus Ellsworth has 8 bars in town where you can enjoy a cold one.

We came here after the Ellsworth Cheese Curd Festival, and this shop alone made our trip from Minnesota worth it. The cheese is ridiclously fresh, and the squekiest I've ever had. A plentiful selection. Additionally, I loaded up on some local wines, which also made me happy.Word of advice-Don't come in with a coupon, unless you want to wait for 10 minutes while the staff figure it out.

A great large building that contains a wide range of cheese. Nice variety. Will come back for the cheese curd festival in June. Many falvors of cheese curds and priced very reasonable.

Visit the new cheese story, and test sample the DELICIOUS cheese curds!! There's no better curds anywhere!
