I needed a manicure in a hurry. I called Roots to get an appointment because my niece was getting married last weekend, and left my own needs till that last minute. They were able to get me in, in a pinch, but to be honest i was a little disappointed. I wanted a french manicure, which seems to be a challage for alot of manicurists. What annoys me, is not that it's a challange for them, rather, when I ask over the phone if someone is able to do a french manicure i want honesty. Only tell me that there is someone that can do it, if they are actually comfortable with it. I will gladly take a regular color if your not proficiant at a french manicure. Salons in general don't seem to get that I do NOT want the girl that isnt comfortable, to be using me as her test project. I actually used to be a manicurist myself many years ago, and catch alot of things that I think others would not, but I wont get in to that. This salon is very modern and pretty, but in my opinion, nothing beats sanitation and experience. I appreciated them getting me in on short notice but actually could have done the same thing myself. Lesson learned, dont wait till the last minute. OH, and I really dont appreciate paying good money and then being made to feel like i need to be grateful for you TAKING my money.
