This was the first stop on our Vineyard and Brewery tours of Brown County. It is right on Hwy 57 and is an easy drive out of Green Bay. We arrived right at 11 am (opening) and were met by the owner. The tasting room is one of the best we visited in the county. Very welcoming- $7 per person gives you a sample of 6 different wines- 3 red and 3 whites. Your sample will include Estate wines and others that they create on site. We picked up a delightful Riesling that my wife really enjoyed. The bottle was $20. In the winter, the views outside are a bit dreary - although the enscarpment is clearly visible. A very nice place to visit.

We always stop at Ledge Stone on our way to Door County. They offer estate wines, wines made by them from out of state grapes and a small offering of wines from big name wineries. Tim, the owner, always greets us and tends to us like we're family. The tasting is comprehensive and. costs $5.Bread and oil or a cheese platter are offered for a small charge. The sunroom has a fireplace for cool days and outdoor areas to enjoy a glass or a bottle. They do have very limited hours.

This winery is also a wineshop so you can taste and purchase good wine from other regions as well as some of the new varietals that are coming out of Wisconsin. The staff is very pleasant, down to earth, and knowledgeable. The wine here is outstanding. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I had a nice picnic with some wine by the glass available for purchase!

My wife and I drove here (had planned to ride our bikes on the Fox River Trail but got lazy) on a sunny Saturday afternoon. They had a wine tasting which, I believe, is always available for $5 which is very reasonable for six tastings. The tasting was a mix of their own wine and others. We also shared a cheese plate of 4 or 5 Wisconsin cheeses which were all excellent. Unlike some other negative reviews we found the service to be laid back and excellent. This is a family owned and run establishment that keeps a balance between work and home life. If planning a visit, check on their hours. I e-mailed before our visit to confirm open hours and got a prompt response from Tim, the owner.

My husband and I have been here several times. Tim and Sarah the owners are always very poliet and knowledgeable. It is nice to see a family business thrive. On their tasting they have estate wines, wines they produce from grapes grown out of state and they are a wine shop so they have a few wines from other wineries to try. Their tasting room is cozy. A lovely place to spend an hour!

Every year in the fall we take a wine tour with our wine group from Sun Prairie, WI. We charter a coach and plan out an itinery with four or five wineries. We have tastings and spend money but this year at Ledge Stone we found they have such poor customer service we will not go back.We spend time planning our trip and were told "WE CAN'T TAKE YOU" !! We had 38 people and were told to leave. Don't we have enough money? Are we not clean? Why? We were told in advance to come and we would spend about an hour.

The customer service was poor, attutude of staff was not helpful. We have visited many vineyards in the area and this is one I would not return to.

This is a great place to have a glass of wine and some cheese, especially in the winter in front of the fireplace. The wines are very good and they have a wonderful selection of WI cheeses to compliment them. Their hours are limited so you might want to check their web before makiing a longer trip. They also have live music, sometimes a couple times a week, one free and the other at low cost. In the summer there can be quitea crowd for the concert, all having brought their chairs and sitting out looking over the arbors and cliff.
