Great place to take your family for an evening of fun. The popcorn and food are typical fast food, but good. Bathrooms are clean. The latest movies are showm.

We have been to this drive in several times over the years. It's always a good time. This trip was above and beyond. My daughter and I visited w/out the boys and ended up with a dead battery. It was the last show of the season. The staff was closing up for the year and it was pretty cool outside. Two younger men spent a good 30 minutes getting us started. When it was clear that the little portable charger wasn't going to do it, one of them actually jumped us with his personal vehicle. Yes, the food was good, picture clear, etc. I expect that really. What really impressed me and has had me bragging them up is the sense that they really care about the customer. I wish there were more "old fashion" places like that.

Very rude staff. Unprofessional staff harrasing people, and lied right to my face. Never will revisit.

I've been here a few times over the recent years, and the site never ceases to deliver. It's clean, offers a great family -- and couple -- experience, the food is good and reasonably priced, tickets reasonably priced and the experience hassle-free.I remember drive-ins when I was a youth and hadn't gone to one in probably 25 years when my friend invited me and my family to meet he and his family there. I'm glad I did and have been back since then.Pros: Reasonably priced food, tickets, clean, it's a family-run operation so there's a lot of obvious pride and effort by the staff to make sure you are satisfied with the experience and you don't have to deal with drunks or rude people. It's a great place to bring a family, or as a couple. They have a large, open area in front of the screen where kids, parents and others can play in the time leading up to the movies. They even have a playground for the younger children. For those who are older, they have a bar area set off to one side where you can have a few beverages prior to the movie, too.For the movies itself, they have individual speakers for your car, but the show is also broadcast among speakers throughout the lot, so you can hear the movie throughout that area, whether or not you are next to one of those small speakers. At the beginning of the movie, they always run a cool old Looney Toons cartoon, and the advertisements in between shows are right out of the 60s, which are pretty cool. Food is pretty good, popcorn is real good -- $3.50 for a pretty decent-sized tub that would cost $7 at a regular movie house. The one thing to keep in mind is you can't bring in your own food. The way the drive-in -- and other venues, too, such as baseball, football, even move houses -- make money is through their food. So, you can't bring in your own food.Cons: Unless you live in the area, it can be somewhat of a drive to get out there (about an hour from Milwaukee). I think it's well worth the drive and well worth your time to take in a movie under the stars at this family-run drive-in theater. Food is good, experience great and they run first-run movies.

We visited this drive in for the first time in our 17 years of living in the area. We had not been to a drive in theatre in 25 years. This theatre was smaller than expected (I recall the Belford Theatre in Cherry Valley IL as a child) so I was pleasantly surprised to be able to find a nice spot up close to the screen very quickly. The reason we picked this theatre over the next closest one to our house (that one is located in Monroe WI) is because we heard there was a clubhouse / bar that serves craft beers before the show. We are empty nesters and don't have small children at home anymore so we thought it would be fun to do a nostalgic summertime outing, but this time with beer and no responsibilities, since we had not experienced that before! But, when we arrived we found out the clubhouse is only open on the weekends! Nevertheless, we heard the food was good from the snack shop on the grounds, so we ordered a burger, onion rings, cheese sticks, a corn dog, a huge bucket of Pepsi and two huge ice cream bars, totaling about $27. Cost to get in was $9 each, so our evening at the movies with food included came to $45. The food was cooked to order so it was hot and delicious. We arrived at 8pm, pulled right up front without a problem, and waited about 20 minutes for our food - there was a long line. We brought chairs and ate our dinner outside under some blankets since it got a little cool after the sun started to go down. The mosquitos came out at dusk so I was glad we remembered the bug spray. About an hour into the movie the people in the car next to us turned on their engine and it stayed on (I have no idea why) so we had to get inside our car because we could no longer hear the sound. I asked the concession stand if it was normal for people to start their cars and leave them running at the drive in and he said "yes, as long as it doesn't bother anyone". We opted not to say anything, they obviously turned their car on for a reason and the concession people didn't seem to think it was a big deal, so we just got into our car and watched the rest of the movie. There were lot of people that were sitting on blankets or chairs outside of their cars though. We did not stay for the second feature since the first one ended at midnight and we had a 35 minute drive home. Everyone was pleasant and courteous and the picture was clear.

My wife and I have been coming here for years and we try to go a few times each summer. This theater is rub and operated with heart, the owner enjoys and takes pride in what he does and it shows. It can get VERY crowded for the popular kid movies. Either get there right at 630 and get your snacks or try to go the 2nd weekend when it will be crowded but not sold out.

They have a nice playground for kids to enjoy before the show. And a microbrewery located behind the screen for the adults that t closes when the show starts. This is my annual birthday outing to enjoy the outdoor and the latest Christopher Mihm film.

I love every time we go to this drive. They keep the experience authentic, not pretentious or artificial. 2Movies for the price of one is always a great deal!

We made the annual outdoor trip to the drive-in theaters. Highway 18 is among the best as far as picture quality and sound. We took a group of 13 and had a blast. The kids ask all the time when we are going back. With ticket prices between $5-8, it is very affordable and is so much more fun than a regular movie theater. Tip:bundle up; it gets chilly out there when the sun goes downconcession lines can get very long; order earlyCons: website is awful; menu reflects 2012 prices and picture tour is from 2006don't allow to bring outside food in, yet concessions took up to 30 minutes to get our food and drinks and they ran out of popular food before the second movie started

Haven't been there since last summer, but it reminds me of when I was a teenager going to the drive in with friends. Don't take your own food or drink, they will confiscate it though. That part is different than when I was a kid. Still a fun time with friends or family. They have a concession stand to buy food and have staff walking around for your safety.

the reason is this is one of my favorite things to do with my family every summer!!!! i love this place!! the double feature movies for a low price..the fact you can relax in your car or bring chairs, the movie theatre food is a good treat, and the memories with the kids is the best thing of all

Took our three kids to the drive in for their first tiem. Ages 21,18, and 14, I don't know why we waited so long. Brought back allot of memories from when I was their age. It you haven't been to a drive in for a while, treat yourself and go some night next summer.

We had a great time at this drive-in. Their projector is very crisp, and the screen is high and big, so you can see it well from the whole car park. Not all the speakers are in place, but you can tune into their radio station in your car or bring along a battery operated radio (recommend this one) for better sound. It was only $8 per adult to get in, and the concessions were very reasonably priced. $5.50 for a HUGE bucket of fresh popcorn with $1 refills. They had all sorts of candy, sodas, nachos, burgers, potato skins, and cheese curds all reasonably priced and tasty. The food line was long as sundown approached, but it wasn't bad if you got there an hour before the movie started. There's also a nice playground set up under the screen, so your kids can be occupied if you get there early for a good spot. They played fun old intermission announcements from the 50's/60's, but had recent features. The theater plays current movies, but repeats the popular ones throughout the summer season, so you can catch something you wanted to see. Oh and there's also access to a bar through the fence before the movies start if you're wanting to get a drink. Anyway, it's a great drive-in theater and perfect for families, couples, or any groups... very fun time!

I've always said to friends that if you watch a terrible movie at a drive-in, it instantly becomes at least a little more bearable to watch, simply because it is such a fun experience watching a movie outside. They have a larger food selection than one might expect and the quality is pretty good.
