My kids love coming to Bookworm Gardens!! We can easily spend a few Hours there....and it's completely free (though you can leave a donation)! They especially love the fairy garden area. Definite must see...the place is amazing and so well taken care of!The only downside is that the restrooms are not open if the store area isn't open.

This is such a wonderful interactive place for children. There are fun chairs, little houses, with lots of wonderful book connections. Lots of trees so it's shady on a hot day. Take your stroller in with you. There was no fee when we went. I believe it is still free, but things can change. They were still building when we were there, so I don't know if they've added a concession stand or not. We carried in our drinks. It was such a fun environment that we hated to leave.

This place is awesome. And its free. Hello! FREE! Creative, wonderful, artistic, literary, natural, FREE! FREE! You need to go. And bring the grandparents and aunties and uncles too.

This is a great place to take my toddlers. They get to play outside and learn at the same time! I also love how they have some stories that are more familiar along with others that are not.My kids love walking through there and especially "driving" the bus!

This place is great. The colors are beautiful. Donations are requested. The perfect place to take pictures of your children. I just saw a photo gallery of a friends baby from here that were awesome. Looks just like a story coming to life. Neat. Would recommend anyone coming to the area to check it out. Alot of other neat attractions nearby, too!

This an amazing place to visit for ages infant to 100. Spring thru fall the colors are beautiful. My personal favorite is Japanese tea house.

This garden was enchanting for anyone who loves botanical gardens or books. Young children will especially enjoy this location. Free admission (donations requested). Looking forward to visiting again.

The place is fabulous for children and adults alike, our second time there and the kids still have so much fun!

In an hour of playing we've barely covered one fourth of this beautiful Children's Garden. Enjoyed the Magic School Bus, Winnie the Pooh, the Loch Ness monster dragon and the cottage and more. On the grounds of university of Wisconsin and near Kohler Spa this is definitely worth a stop through.

This was a great find! My wife is a children's librarian, and she was in 7th Heaven. The gardens are beautiful, and are a great way to combine education and entertainment. And it's free! -but good enough that you want to leave them a donation.

Children's books are the theme of different areas of this beautiful outdoor garden ready for your children to run and explore. Each area has different hands on activities that are help yourself and mostly in good repair. A central office building has rocking chairs to curl up and read a book from the shelves full of great choices! Grab a child and head over for a 1 - 3 hour memory maker!

My husband and I visited Bookworm Gardens with our almost two year old daughter this past weekend. The gardens are just beautiful. There is so much for little ones to explore. We packed a little picnic lunch and ate in the treehouse. My daughter loved all the different things she could touch and play with. We will definitely be visiting again!

Bookworm Gardens exceeds expectations no matter how much visitors brag about it. I've taken children from 1-year-olds to college-aged and never had one who didn't have to be dragged away. Sometimes we don't get past the bus! Turn children loose and intuitively they know what to do in the Gardens. They explore, play and re-enact stories they have read/heard. Not only do stories come to life but the gardens themselves are a feast for the senses. Take a lunch and spend the day.

We went to the garden after seeing all of the great reviews and we were not disappointed. Even though the gardens are 100% free we found ourselves making a more than suggested donation because we would love to be able to go there again. The staff were extremely friendly, the facilities spotless and the gardens were so much to look at we wished we would have brought a picnic lunch so that we could go back and explore more later. We brought our 3 month old and he was intrigued by everything around him. Will definitely come back the next time we are in the area!

My five-year-old granddaughter and I both loved Bookworm Gardens! The grounds are beautiful and there were so many places for her to explore and play. We'll be reading more of the books she wasn't as familiar with and going back again next summer. Hats off to the volunteers who maintain such a great attraction and keep it free for families to enjoy!
