I'm kind of ashamed to say that I'm addicted to the apple cider. I decided to take my mother for a visit after a coworker mentioned the place a few weeks ago. We arrived early on a Saturday so there was plenty of space to park and decided to go straight into the restaurant section. They were very nice and we were seated within a few minutes. Our server arrived asking if we wanted coffee or apple cider, I checked with my mom because she's really into coffee but she surprised me by asking for cider. And let me tell you the world will never be the same for us. I think while we sat there we drank about half a gallon between us. We had the apple cider donuts and they were good, but a little too sweet for me. The corn bread with apple butter was amazing! We decided to order off the menu and get omelets with cheesy hash-browns and that was kind of disappointing. I think we've been a little spoiled by eating "garbage plates" at Frank's and all egg dishes get compared to that greatness. I wasn't a fan of the amount of cheese in the hash-browns either, but it did say cheesy right in the name so that was on me. The meal overall was pricey, but kind of worth the experience. We also got a dutch apple pie to go and it was delicious completely worth the price. The store was kind of pricey, but since I don't see myself driving out here everyday I bought a few items like apple butter, honey and peach preserves. We already knew we wouldn't be picking apple since it was so late in the season and it was raining so we opted to just take a gallon of cider home instead. Again a bit pricey, but I can't imagine home much work goes into making the cider along with how many apples are needed per gallon. Just go right ahead and juice an apple and see how much cider you can make out of it.So like I said I'm a little addicted to the cider and the poor gallon I purchased 48 hrs ago is now 3/4 empty. Overall, a nice place I'd visit a few times a year.

Hello,Thank you for visiting us and reviewing our restaurant. We are glad that you liked the hot apple cider, cheese curds, cornbread & apple butter. It's nice that we reminded you of your home.Hope to see you again.Sincerely,The Apple Holler Family
Hi Dalliusd, Thanks so much for taking the time to let us know how we're doing. That feedback is very important to us because we always want to be better. We try very hard to focus on the full farm experience, over simply apple picking. We are sorry that you were not directed to where there were apples on the trees to pick. The bins were there as a convenience to try other kinds of apples. We really want to have that "country farm feeling" as you put it. That's actually why we started Apple Holler 27 years ago, was to share the family farm with others. Do you have any ideas to help us make it feel less commercialized and more like a family farm you're going to visit? Thanks so much for the feedback and I look forward to your ideas. Sincerely, Dave, Apple Holler Owner
Hi Laurie, Thank you so much for visiting us again and again over the last ten years. That means so much to have that kind of repeat business from a customer like you. We're very sorry you were disappointed with our prices. We really do try hard to offer a full farm experience, but understand that doesn't currently fit all ages as well as we'd like. We're always striving to improve and really would like to find a way to make our farm more fun for all ages. Do you have any ideas or suggestions that would help enhance the experience for young adults?Again, I apologize that you had anything short of a perfect experience and would love the opportunity to make it up to you. Please send me a private message at Dave@AppleHoller.com and allow us an opportunity to make things right. Sincerely, Dave, Apple Holler Owner
Hi Ken, Thanks so much for sharing your experience at Apple Holler. It means so much to us that you've taken the time to leave honest feedback. As you mentioned, your wait was a bit longer about a month ago. This Fall has been one of the busiest we’ve ever had in the 27 years Apple Holler has been in business. So I’m very sorry we weren’t able to get you seated and served more quickly.I'd like to thank you for coming back to try us again, so if you'd be so kind as to send me a private message to Dave@AppleHoller.com, I'd like to extend a special invitation to you and your family to come back and join us again for supper. Thanks again for the kind and honest words and have a great day!Sincerely, Dave, Apple Holler Owner
Hi Jason, Thanks so much for taking the time to visit our orchard and I'm very sorry you had anything short of an incredible time. Unfortunately, it had been raining for nearly a week when you visited so our entire farm was mushy. The rain also did a number on our corn maze, so I'm sorry it wasn't holding up so well when you came to visit. We do try to focus on the entire farm experience. The $20 Apple Farm Admission includes the wagon ride, a picking bag that fits about 6 to 7 lbs. of apples, plus apple tasting as you pick and the fun farm park. On the weekends,we also have our live music, pig races and our outdoor grill.I very much appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we're doing, even if we've not met your expectations. We'd like a chance to make it up to you. If you'd send me a private message to Dave@AppleHoller.com, I'd like to extend a special invitation to you and your girlfriend to come back and give us another try now that things have dried up a bit. Sincerely, Dave, Apple Holler Owner
Hi Megan,Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our farm, however, we're very sorry we didn't meet your expectations. We try to focus on the complete farm experience during your visit, so the $8 was the farm park admission that also includes the Giant Slide, Crazy Corn Maze, Cow Maze, Corn Palace Corn Box, Straw Mountain, our Animals and other fun activities. We also have Live Music, Pig Races and outdoor grilling on the weekends.Regarding the limited apples you mentioned, we do have more than 30,000 trees, and the apple pickers are given a map to where we are picking or dropped off from the Wagon ride and directed to the apples on the trees.Thank you for your compliment on the chicken pot pie. We are glad that you liked it.Again, I apologize we didn't meet your expectations and we'd really like a chance to make it up to you. If you'd send me a message privately to Dave@AppleHoller.com, I'd like to extend a special invitation to you to come visit us again and allow us an opportunity to make things right. Thanks for taking the time to let us know how we're doing and please do reach out. Sincerely, Dave, Apple Holler Owner
Hi Margo,Thank you for sharing your experience, even if we didn't meet your expectations. It's very important to us to make sure if somethings not done right, we fix it.However, I'm disappointed you've chosen to continue posting about your negative experience without giving us an opportunity to help make it right. We'd really like a chance to talk more about what we could have done better. Please email me directly at dave@appleholler.com or you can call and ask for me at the farm: 262-884-7100Thanks again for the feedback and I hope we talk soon.Sincerely, Dave, Apple Holler Owner
