The morning of my scheduled appointment, I checked the website and it said that the Mega Ball is closed for the season. Since that was the whole reason I had made the booking, I left a message for the company saying I was very surprised to have gotten no email or text notification of this, and that I would like them to call me immediately so that I didn't make the one-hour trip for nothing. (Full disclosure: I was frustrated during my message, but did not scream, nor was I profane or abusive.) I also emailed asking them to call me asap.About 10 minutes later, the owner called and didn't even let me get a whole sentence out. He yelled about my message being an inappropriate tone and about how the information was posted on their website plus I received a confirmation. (This is true, however the confirmation didn't say anything about Mega Ball closure.) I was so shocked by his venom, pretty much the only word I could say in response was "wow." The "conversation" last less than a minute and ended with him screaming at me "wow nothing, lady, just get your money back from Living Social" and hanging up on me.
I called this morning to schedule a zip line adventure with my Groupon..the man who answered proceeded to call me a LIAR when I told him in fact it was not expired until September 16. He yelled at me uncontrollably and finally hung up on me. I would have been glad to fax my document or anything but he never gave me the chance. I would never talk in that manner this man did to my worst enemy. I am appalled that a customer service would yell so loud on and on for NO REASON. I would never ever have anything to do with this organization in my life. It's back to Canopy in Lake Geneva for me!!!!!!
Owner is highly unprofessional and verbally abusive over the phone. Nothing but problems booking my zipline. Owner was rude and used inappropriate language on the phone. Have ziplined through Canopy Tours in Lake Geneva before and had the best experience ever. Would highly recommend that you book a trip through them instead and have an experience that you will be happy with. Save your money and the stress and skip this place!
I had a ton of problems booking my Groupon so after our experience I wrote the below review to which I received the following response from Aerial Adventures. Nothing that Michael said was true and this Groupon cost was $145.00 for a 1 hour adventure for 4 and it took 5 days to resolve the booking issues. This company does not value your business so spend your money somewhere else! Me: "All the staff was friendly and fun. But I had a very hard time booking my Groupon as all weekends and tons of week days were blocked out for Groupon customers so I couldn't book anything. It took a week of back and forth with Groupon and Aerial Adventures before additional dates were released so I could book. Overall the experience was certainly not worth the money, even with a Groupon, and I don't see us doing it again."From: michael hanley To: Me Jul 20 at 8:11 PMI just wanted to respond to your review from today. First, you did not spend a week convincing us or groupon to 'release' more dates. we made other dates available on an as needed basis to accommodate groupon customers. This is above and beyond our agreement with groupon. When you purchased the discounted offer, you knew it was based on availability. Yet you waited until a week before hand to attempt to make a reservation. your offer was about to expire and we graciously accommodated you. You say the offer was not worth the $37.00 you paid. I am curious as to what you expect for that relatively small amount of money? Would barely buy a lunch for 2. You do a disservice to business owners who are offering highly discounted activities thru groupon. Please do us all a favor, and stop buying groupon discounts.
I had never ziplined before. There were 3 lines. The first is 600 feet. The 2nd and 3rd and 300 feet each. If you've never done this before, it's a great starter course. Not much scenery. I LOVED the staff!
Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed this trip to Lake Geneva. We went early on a Friday, and got right in. We were the last group of the day. We were able to do the climbing wall, and all three zip lines. We had one in our group that was afraid, and the employees helped to make it a comfortable fun day for her. Thanks for a fun trip!
I bought this groupon as a gift for part of my husband's 40th birthday getaway. First, I am in sales, and as manager, I have to say the reviews about the owner and the staff being rude, could not have been further from the truth!! Treat others kind and they will be kind. Seriously, I'm shocked, for many reasons. To start, I called to inquire on dates, and got a response within the hour. The owner was kind, accommodating, and easy going. In regards to the team during our experience, we were welcomed by friendly smiles and Eileen as the desk was super duper engaging, she even shared some fun history facts of the area. And Matt who did our climbing wall fun, was the coolest chill guy! He made my husband who had never climbed before feel so comfortable. And Tanner and Blake were so friendly, so much so I told my husband I hope our 22 month old son grows up to be kind, respectable young men like them. I didnt sky dive the day before, so I was kind of scared at times, both young men made me feel comfortable and safe. And the owner came out to see us finish our last line, he gave me style tips, which I did (go backwards!), and to see how we liked it. Funny because the guys said the owner, disclosed freely, that their boss was the kindest boss they had ever had. I mentioned I could tell they liked working there based on how friendly they were to us. We were so pleased, worthy of every penny. Highly recommend! Even to those who have sky dived. ;) Fun is fun!
The day we arrived they had way overbooked the time slots. Except for my family, (we stupidly paid FULL price) all the other people were there using their Groupon coupons. The "owner" gave the Groupon people first opportunity of going first. While we, who paid full price, had to try and find something else to do till we were called back. We were finally called back hours later (with cranky kids by this time) and when we arrived back he said he would not only give us a refund but to also give us complimentary tickets to come back again for free. But, after this he was no where to be found and after several phone calls and emails later he has totally ignored all communication to honor his word. Very questionable place, the owner is very untrustworthy and dishonest as the day is long. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever.
I was so excited to come out with 3 of my girlfriends and experience something that looked so fun, but it took me 2 months to get a hold of them due to their terrible customer service, the weather & the horrible hours. I called and left multiple voicemails and never get a confirmation or a call back... If my friends weren't looking forward to this as much as they are, I would of said screw it a long time ago! Oh.. and when I got a call back, the owner was SOO unbelievably rude. Telling me to follow the instructions on the website and to stop calling me so many times.... I called 3 times within 30 minutes due to the phone connection and I didn't have the necessary information that was needed to finish the reservation. Sorry, but as a business partner myself... if you want to have a successful business, customer service should be your MAIN priority.
Recently ziplined at Aerial Adventures and had a great time. The young staff was very friendly and helpful in making our first zip fun and safe. I went with my twin 12yr old daughters and one of their friends and we all had a fantastic time. I am about 25 years and 50 pounds past my athletic prime, but i was able to safely manage the course with little problem. The fact that you are tied off with a safety line at all times when climbing the platform helps ease any fears you would have about being at that height. Once you take that first step off of the platform it is pure excitement!! I highly recommend Aerial Adventures.
I can't actually comment on the ziplining as I also, never got a chance to try it. What I did exerience was an hour drive to Lake Geneva and when I called for help in locating this place (my GPS couldn't find it), I was told by the man who answered the phone that the ziplining was canceled. To my surprise, I asked why.....to which he responded "I think that should be obvious"....umm ok...so how do I go about rescheduling? Well that he responded with a big ol' "eff you" and hung up on me. *thud* So dude, first if you are too hung over to operate your business, perhaps you should CALL the people who have reservations (I assume that's why you needed my phone number and address) or how about this....if you cancel because it's going to rain, maybe you should update your website and REMOVE the part that says you DO OPERATE IN THE RAIN.
Firstly this is not a review about the quality of the Zip Line Canopy tour itself, as we never got to experience the zip lines due to the cancelled tour. However, this is a review of the customer service (or the lack thereof) we experienced with Aerial Adventures. By no means do I mean to be an online curmudgeon. I do understand that everyone is trying to earn their bread, and cancellations due to weather are out of their control. I just hope that my review provides something constructive - from which both Aerial Adventures and the customers who look forward to visiting them can learn and make their visit more enjoyable, by avoiding some of the inconveniences we had to go through. On a hot summer morning, we set off on a 3 hour trip to Lake Geneva, eagerly anticipating an exciting ziplining adventure at Aerial Adventures. But when we reached the facility, we did not find anyone there to receive us.We waited for about an hour, trying to call Aerial Adventures office but no one was picking up. We had already tried to call in earlier in the morning to confirm, but no one had picked up the phone. Also there was no phone message indicating that the tours for the day had been cancelled. Finally someone from Aerial Adventures office picked up our phone call and informed that zipline tours for the day were cancelled due to heat wave warnings. One of the following steps could have been performed by Aerial Adventures to save us from the inconveniences we faced:1. Make phone calls to the customer: As the customers provide their phone numbers during the online booking process, someone from Aerial Adventures could have called us and informed about the cancellation for the tours as soon as the decision was made to cancel the tours. This would have helped people like us coming on long drives save the wasted time and gas money spent on the trip.2. Attend the phone calls from customers: In case of such cancellation, Aerial Adventures could have appointed someone to answer the phone and inform the customers who call in, or at least setup an automated response on their phone line informing customers about the cancellation of the tours. 3. Inform through Email/Website: Information about this cancellation was not posted online on Aerial Adventures website, and not even an email was sent to the customer (me) about the cancellation.4. Appoint an employee on site: Aerial Adventures could have stationed someone onsite to receive customers and inform them about the cancellation. This would have helped in our case, as we were left waiting at the Aerial Adventures facility thinking that someone would come and receive us. 5. Inform through proper signboards: Aerial Adventures could have removed "the misleading sign boards" posted at the facility which inform customers about the tour timings and request them to wait for the tour guide. Replacing them with a sign informing about the cancellation could have saved the hour that we wasted waiting at the facility in the hot sun (between 10:15 & 11:15 AM in the July summer weather) To our utter disappointment, not even one of the above steps was done by Aerial Adventures. I request Aerial Adventures to kindly consider one of the above steps in case of such tour cancellations in future, so that the future customers (I myself will definitely not be one) do not suffer the inconveniences that we had to go through. I do have to mention that we were promised a refund of the zipline tour fee (It has only been one day since our trip to Lake Geneva, so I might have to wait a couple of days more). Hope you had something to learn from my experience which will make your trip better. Have a great trip wherever you are headed to!
The Aerial Adventures team did an amazing job hosting our rather large group group. This was an amazing experience and we all had a fabulous time. I plan on recommending it to everyone I encounter. Mike & his team are so helpful, accommodating, a pleasure to deal with & hilarious! Most importantly, the team is SO professional & reassuring. We all felt very safe & secure throughout the whole experience. Oh, BIG KUDOS for the amazingly clean and well decorated bathroom. Everything about this operation was incredibly impressive! We plan on making this an annual tradition! I can't wait to get back there.Note... If you get a chance, take the time to talk to "Dad". He's a charmer!
Booked through a living social deal. Arrived 15 minutes before our scheduled start time, only to be told our "adventure" has been rescheduled for 30 minutes later and someone should have called us...they didn't. Even at our new 10 am time, employees were still arriving and getting things set up. We did the full adventure....rock wall, ropes course, and zip lining. Not sure it would be worth the full price, but we had fun, as we were with fun people. Hard to do this adventure in large groups...a lot of waiting around. We had a group of 9 and they had 2 divide us up into 2 groups, so one group spent 40 minutes watching, while the other group zip lined. The entire adventure took much longer than the 90 minutes advertised due to our large group. Kudos though to the staff as they seemed very knowledgeable, concerned with safety, and good with the younger kids, who by the way, loved it! Next time, I would would avoid the rock wall, and rope course....while fun for the person doing it, too much waiting around for the other people in the group. The zip lining is a good first step for those who never have zipped before. The place itself, while run safely, is not run that expeditiously...hard to get a hold of by phone, slow in email response, start times late, etc.
