Stopped here on the way to Lambeau for a game. Great prices, wide variety of beer, delicious food, and awesome service. It's a shame there were no other patrons there; people in Green Bay are missing out on a hidden gem!
Went for a Friday lunch after reading the reviews and had an outstanding time. Our bartender Kim made the entire visit enjoyable. The wings were some of the best I have ever had. The beer selection of both on tap and bottles was perfect for the craft/micro brew enthusiast!
We enjoyed our visit to Adams Street. The food and drink were perfect. The best part was that the proprietor took the time to visit with us on this quiet, week day afternoon. We will return.
Excellent beer, Good food, great sevice... too bad they dropped the ball at the end. The NDSU Alumni Assoc. posted Adams Street as the place to see NDSU in the March Madness BB playoffs. There was no other "Watch Party" listed for WI. It was a 110 mile round trip but I thought it would be worth it. We were greeted by over 8 other alumni in school colors and even though our team was loosing it was fun until about two or three minutes before the end of the the bartender saw fit to switch the channel to another game that was already showing on the other TV. I guess it was screw u... you've seen all you need and we need two TV's for the other game. There will be other watch parties. I just hope they are planned for places that have a little more respect for people who travel to their establishment for a special time.
This pub is Green Bay's finest. They have one of the best burgers in town using fresh meat and Renard's cheese. All of their tap beers are from Wisconsin breweries which makes it a great spot to experience the great crafts this state has to offer. The service is always pheonomenal. I would suggest this place to anyone and everyone.
When we visited Green Bay in early January we drove downtown to look for a unique local place to have dinner on a Friday night. The Italian restaurant next door to Adams Street Pub had received good reviews, so we were intending on going there... only to find them closing for the night at 9:30! (This may be normal for Green Bay in general, but we weren't expecting it). Luckily, the Adams Street Pub next door was open, and advertised a Fish Fry for Friday nights on their menu. Not wanting to explore any further in below-zero weather, we decided to give it a try; it turned out to be a great decision. Not only was the atmosphere just right for a neighborhood bar, the beer selection and food were amazing. The fried cheese curds were the best I have had anywhere: the coating was perfect, yet the cheese inside was not overcooked--they still squeaked. Having been introduced to this delicacy through my partner, a Wisconsin native, I have eaten far too many fried cheese curds which turn into hot, greasy mush in the mouth. The fish fry was also the best I have had--our lake perch was perfectly fried, and the single order consisted of four huge pieces (upon initially reading the menu I questioned who other than a Green Bay linebacker might go with the double order, but upon finishing my food I was briefly tempted to make such a conversion).Though it was a slow night (our friendly server told us that this is not unusual just after New Year's), the locals in attendance were enjoying the pool tables and darts in the back of the bar. This is exactly the type of place we were hoping to stumble upon when heading to a completely unfamiliar town. Hopefully TripAdvisor accurately re-classifies Adams Street Pub & Grill as a restaurant so others can easily find and review it. We will definitely be returning (Friday or otherwise) next time we are in town.
My partner and I were in Green Bay for a night and we headed out from the hotel a bit later (8pm). We had planned to go to Angelo's (or something) but they were closing as we walked up, so we chanced went in to Adams Street Pub & Grill next door. We both had the special Friday Fish Fry with pearch and a fried cheese curd starter. I'm from WI originally and these were the best friend cheese curds I've ever had. They squeaked in my mouth--they were so fresh! The fish and fries were absolutely amazing. Not too greasy at all! To top it off was an amazing homemade tartar sauce.I had one of the local beers on tap and my boyfriend got a recommendation for a great New Glarus beer. The atmosphere was nice. Not too loud (though it was a slow night just after NYE) and everyone was friendly. It also wasn't too dark to eat and have a conversation at night. The waitress/bartender was extremely nice, prompt and knowledgeable about the meal.We are definitely coming back here next time we are in Green Bay.**not sure why it's classified as an attraction cause this is (as the name makes clear) a pub and grill**
