This place maybe a Minor League Ballpark, but it looks and is well up kept like a Major League Ballpark!!! It is always an amazing time at the ballpark watching the AA Altoona Curve, who are an affiliate to the Pittsburgh Pirates! These players are prospects and future of major league baseball, not all of them will be Pirates, but will at one point reach the majors. The atmosphere is great! It is a clean family atmosphere, and everyone there and employees are friendly and are there to help if need be. They have all kinds of on the field games going on in between the innings, which I think is awesome! If you would like to participate you should get to the ballpark an hour early to sign up and if you are picked, you are in. Also a lot of promotions throughout the week and weekend and the mascots are always around to entertain kids and families.
If you like baseball and are looking for a place you can bring your family and not go broke, this is the place. AA Team for the Pittsburgh Pirates.Tickets are very affordable and so is the food, which by the way is great. Try the Jumbo Burger with a cold Bud and let the game begin.
The park is great. Food is tops for a ball park. Every seat in the house is a good one. Sun sets behind 1st base, so plan for sun in the eyes on 3rd base side and outfield. Great family fun, and Beer too.
Very, very nice stadium. Clean. Friendly people. and the Phils won !! good times. It was very organized with the parking. We were out of town and we decided to go that day so we needed to get tickets when we arrived. We asked someone where to go and he pointed us in the right directions. no problems. We def. recommend others to try this stadium out. Also, there was a roller coaster.
Nice experience. They go the extra mile to include the fans in the action on and off the field. Plenty of interactive games to play between innings. Food is decent but like many parks a bit pricey.
This is one of the larger minor league ball parks that I visited this year, yet it kept most of the flare found in the smaller park. The only difference was the activities between innings. There were many activities, but I my opinion the other stadiums activities were more geared to the younger fans. The food prices matched those of other minor league teams. The stadium staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It is also easy accessible right off of I-99. So if you like baseball and seeing possible future Major League Players (in this case the Pittsburgh Pirates) than you will enjoy a night here and it wouldn't break the bank
This is an awesome ball park! Clean and friendly staff. Great food and beer at very good prices compared to the bigger parks. Fun for everyone! Even if you are not a baseball lover, it's a wonderful way to spend an evening!
Our first time taking young kids to a ball game- we wanted to try out this before spending the $ on a mlb game. We had an awesome time! Great seats all around lots of activities to keep the kids interested. Definitely recommend going here! The drinks are a little pricey, but you cant beat the ticket prices!
It's a nice park and a great minor league baseball experience. The people are very friendly and accommodating. We had great seats behind home plate for $10 and were lucky enough to be there for fireworks - they were beautiful! The kids also LOVED running the bases. A great night had by all.
New facilities and difficult to have a bad seat for a Curve game ! Easy parking and we really had a great time with the kids. Great spot for a family friendly outing.
We went to a Curve game on a Sunday night in July. We sat on the third base side so the sun was not in our eyes. They were good seats for only $10. The stadium, including the women's restroom, was clean. It seemed most fans had been here before (including us) because they knew what to do to try to get on camera, get a t-shirt, etc. Food is pretty good. The book you can get when you go in is informative and includes a scorecard. Scoreboard shows informative stats. The Curve won the evening we went. The fan base seems loyal. There was a good fireworks show.
My whole family went to the game. This included 5 children ages 9-18 and 2 sets of grandparents. We all had a good time. There is a large variety of good food that is reasonably priced. We sat in the 200 section and tickets were $8.00 a piece. The mascots are friendly and the kids enjoy seeing them. There were fireworks after the game and the kids got to run the bases. It was an enjoyable experience for all.
Still one of the best in the minors. Great beer prices. The roller coaster in right field makes the place. Don't miss it!
Pedro Alvarez Bobble Head Night...Lets Go Future Bucs...Great Place...Great Prices,,,Enjoyed Our Visit...Altoona Curve - Railroad - Been There Done That...Not Impressed......Jes... Do I have another 100 Characters...
PNG Field is the home field of the Altoona Curve, AA affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. It is a beautiful field styled after Camden Yards in Baltimore. It is conveniently located right off Interstate 99 and has both a parking lot and parking garage. ( $4 and $3) It is clean and spacious and there isn't a bad seat in the house! The diamond seats are very close to the playing field and the upper decks have marvelous views of both the field and the surrounding mountains. It is also located right next to an amusement park and has a roller coaster in the outfield! Food is delicious although a little expensive. I highly recommend the "Curve Burger," a delicious half pound burger. They also have an excellent all-you-can-eat picnic buffet in the left field area. There are 4 mascots to entertain including "Al Tuna" who comes out of the center field wall and dances whenever the Curve scores. Ticket prices are between $5-$15. Shady seats are 1st base side which is the home dugout and sunny seats are 3rd base side. There is a toddler play area and a kids' bouncy house play area. It is a wonderful family-oriented experience! In addition you get to see some future Major League Baseball stars play baseball in an intimate setting. As the theme song of the park says, "Everybody loves Curve Baseball."
